Hi everybody,

I am new to this forum so please forgive me if there has been a similar thread. I am very passionate about two things, filmmaking and  MMA. I would love to combine both these. I have recently moved to the uk and have noticed a lot of amature & semi-professional events that I can attend. I have some ideas about making a documentary but thought I would ask fellow fans/athletes.

Do you watch MMA documentaries?
What's your favourite documentary?
Would you watch a documentary about a semi-pro?
Do you have any ideas or things that you would like to be explored ?

I will try update this thread every so often and reply.

Thank you for your time :)

The only MMA "documentary" I can name off the top of my head that I enjoyed a lot was the story E60 did on Lightning Lee Murray and his role in the Securitas robbery.

Theres also that documentary on the downfall of marc kerr "the smashing machine" but its really old now.

Props on being the most polite white belt ive seen on this forum @ozzam

EDIT: btw, i think a good documentary can be made about any topic if its really engaging and well written. Hell, there' s even one about the world record in donkey kong ("the king of kong") which is pretty good.

My favorite combat sports documentary is actually a boxing documentary."Ring of Fire" the Emile Griffith Story. It's a little slow for a while just very in depth but really picks up and the end is a shocker.

I think a documentary about Tae Hyun Bang/s situation with Leo Kuntz would be very interesting you could also explore fight fixing and mob influence. That's one of the craziest stories in recent times.

Nice stuff. So that was the Melvin fight I heard about a while ago. Regarding OP; The most recent documentary I bought was from bornwarriorsmovie.com. Vincent Giordano went to Myanmar in the late 90's/early 2000's and then went back a decade later to see the impact on the bareknuckle sport by the opening of Myanmar's borders.

Looking forward to your progress!
