I think Blaydes is gonna gas out hitting Mark Hunt for 1-2 rounds and get finished.

Didn’t realize Hunt was still in the top 5!

Younger. Good wrestler with... okay standup. Hunt is older, taken WAAAAY too much damage and has no choice but to be slowing down.

How confident should we be in Mark's stand-up at this point in his career?

I don't think this matchup is as simple as Mark wins if he can defend the takedowns(which I think he will), or he loses if he cannot.

I think Blaydes is quickly turning into the dark horse of the division. All the hype has been going to Ngannou while Blaydes has been showing good steady improvements. His chin is solid, he has good cardio, and he's huge with good wrestling for the division. I think he'll be able to take Hunt down, and possibly hurt/ finish him. My pick is a one sided decision though.

Hunt survives 1.5 rounds of wrassling, starts sprawlin' and brawlin' and wins a hometown SD.

if blaydes can't tire him out early, he's gonna get pieced up. mark has only been losing by ko and idk if curtis has the hands or the defense to make it happen.

This is what I love about Hunt: he will fight anybody at any time and whether win or lose, he comes back and fights the same type of Fighters. I'd love to see him fight in Ngannou.

I pic Hunt against Ngannou, in fact I would put money on it, if Hunt was the under dog, which i bet he would be. I think Hunt would likely finish him,

Picking Blaydes based on well-roundedness. Mark will be the striker, and Blaydes the grappler. But, it would be foolish of Hunt to dismiss Blaydes's striking. The latter can draw out counters with feints, deflect punches in the pocket, and time takedowns off a jab.

Blaydes all the way. I dont think Hunt can stop the takedowns. Curtis is too young, too strong and too athletic.

This will basically determine if Hunt still has it. Will Curtis Blaydes try to grind game it???
