I think it makes sense for him. No one believes he is the best middleweight in the world and everyone is pretty sure he'd get starched by plenty of other 185ers. He has won the belt, defended the belt, made plenty of money. He might as well call it quits on a roll and whilst he still has all his faculties.

Kind of weird because I think it's a tough fight to call but i'll probably go with Bisping considering everything. So say he beats GSP in arguably the biggest fight of his career recognition wise and then retires as champ? If he beats GSP whether he retires that night I still think he'd fight again. If he loses he might retire but I don't see him retiring, the guy has a real fighters mentality.

He has said that he will defend against GSP then Whittaker several times. Maybe this is a negotiation tactic. Beat GSP then try and get an equally big payday against Bobby knuckles. I mean that would be the fight he should get paid more for anyhow. If he loses to GSP it will be by sub or tds. If he loses to Whittaker, most likely it will come with a severe concussion.

It's amazing he's been going as long as he has with that eye of his.
