The saddest part is that DC will never go down as the LHW GOAT even though he clearly is. If Jones didn't think he needed an edge to defeat him, he wouldn't have risked USADA's wrath in back-to-back training camps against him.

That's just terrible man, it takes some nerve to do all the promotion of yourself as a person who is a changed man while actively juicing. Just goes to show that he has been more than likely cheating since day 1, and if he hasn't changed by now there should be no reason to think he ever will.
Will probably go down as one of the biggest wastes of talent in sports history, and one of the most self-destructive.

I said it before but especially with Jon. I'm not suprised in the least. I would be more suprised if a fighter went his whole career without using. Just the nature of the beast. Scary to think what kind of damage a roided up jones did to dc. A severe concussion at least. But dc is officially the UFC lhw champ now.

Well, if it goes to a NC, I think that pretty much solidifies DC vs Jones 3 at some point. DC may get his wish. But I think they are going to wait this out to make sure it wasn't a false positive test.

@mikeyg I agree on them definitely giving Jones the benefit of the doubt and wanting to get this 100% straightened out. However if it turns out to be true and does change the result to a NC, I don't believe it solidifies a trilogy fight.
If Jones receives the 4 year punishment that he potentially could (and at this point, should) get, DC would be 43 by fight time. Plus I think it would be fair to assume that at that point Jones' career in MMA will be over. There's no reason to come back to a division that he ruined.

He isn't the best LHW, Cormier is. I don't think this damages Cormier's legacy as much as Jones at all. Cormier gave that cheating POS the fight of his life twice. Jones may never fight again. I hope he doesn't. **** Jon Jones. Daniel Cormier is a real champion.

Cormier releases a statement to MMAFighting:
“It's hard to find words to describe how I'm feeling right now,” Cormier said. “I'm disappointed to hear the news. It's very emotional.
“We as athletes are entitled to due process, and I will refrain from saying much more until I know exactly what happened.
“In my mind, on July 29, I competed and I lost. I thought Jon Jones was the better man that day. I don't know what to think anymore. I can’t believe we are going through all of this again. We will see what happens next.
“Thank you to all my fans who have supported me during this dark time. I love you all very much.”
Spoken like a real champion. I feel terrible for the guy though, it's really apparent how heavy the whole Jones' rivalry has weighed on him the past few years. Hopefully he moves past this and continues to build his legacy as the "true" greatest LHW.
