Can confirm reports that Kimbo Slice was admitted to a local Fla. hospital. I'm told at this time that he's not in good shape, sadly.

Front Row Brian reporting he's dead, but I don't consider him a reliable source.  Semi-reliable...

God damnit. One of the few mma fighters i've ever had the pleasure of meeting, he was a wonderful individual. Say what you will about his actual fighting ability, but he was a fun character to watch and a great guy.

Many sources are closing in to say he's passed away, if this is true than RIP Kimbo slice truly an icon to come from street fighting and then on to fight in the UFC, whether he won or not he still had a heart of gold and everyone loved being around him, truly a sad time to be a combat sports fan.

Kimbo/DaDa 5000 proving to be the deadliest bout in history.

Hard to believe they both passed medicals.

I think he was just a genetic beast, but maybe. When people around his age or younger have heart attacks i always assume its drug related.

One of the most out of left field passings I have heard. I am honestly stunned by it.

He wasn't the best but he brought entertainment or tried to.

I was honestly looking forward to Slice vs Thompson II.

But hope his family is going to be ok. RIP Kimbo.

I don't tend to react emotionally to people I don't personally know passing, but I am legitimately very sad upon hearing this news. Before going viral was really a thing, and before I was a hardcore MMA fan, I would wait for a new Kimbo video to hit YouTube and watch it with my friends. He certainly wasn't the best fighter to grace our sport, but he had a great personality and his ability to make a living for himself despite some of his life's circumstances was something I always found very commendable. I don't give a **** how bad his last MMA fight was, I was very much looking forward to his next one next month and its upsetting knowing we will never get to watch him in any capacity ever again.

Awful. Wasn't the biggest fan of him as a fighter, but I'd be lying if I said in the mid-2000s I didn't get a kick out of watching Kimbo whoop people on Youtube.

By all accounts, Kimbo was a very good guy as well. Not to mention the fact that dude has, what, 6 kids? A few of them being quite young, I think.

Terrible news. Rest in Peace, Kimbo.

Not a big fan of him as a fighter, but on his season of TUF he came across as a good guy.  Much more humble than I would have expected given the hype before then.

What's crazy is that Kimbo was supposed to headline a card in 10 days. Bellator dogged another bullet here.

I won't be surprised if Bellator calls Dada 5000 to fill in for Slice against Thompson at Bellator 158.
