@rappinpap

That is not necessarily true. Former IBF champ Shawn Porter is going to be on the card as will Gervonta Davis, who is an undefeated IBF junior lightweight and is only 22 years of age.  But yeah, the "biggest boxing card of the year" could have been bigger and brought in the likes of Andre Ward and such onto the card and make it more worth the $100 price tag.

I'm pretty sure that getting hit 400 times by "Mayweathers little rabbit punches" will be more than Conor can take. Enjoy the mauling!

His punches haven't been able to finish anyone since Bush was president and I absolutely am inclined to believe the rumor that Zab Judah hurt Floyd bad recently, he almost hurt him in Floyd's prime, let alone at 40. Floyd winning a decision is one thing but can Floyd take what Conor has with 8 oz gloves? Has Floyd ever even fought with 8's? This might be a rude awakening for him.

Good, cause I'm not talking about the casuals.  Those ******s are going to drop $100 on the PPV regardless because of the main event and how this is a "dream fight".  They need to sell the hardcore fans on why they should be bothered to pick up the remote and watch this train wreck, because most hardcore Boxing and MMA fans are trying to stay away from this **** show like the plague (as they should).

Floyd has fought many times with 8 ounce gloves, that's why he wants them.  Generally 8 ounce gloves are used only for fights at 140-147 lbs.

Mikey G, I think it is you that us in for a rude awakening.  McGregor couldn't outbox Nate Diaz, how's he going to outbox Mayweather?  Conor has about the same chance Floyd would have in an MMA fight, close to zero.

I hope I'm wrong, but Floyd is going to KO Conor.  Floyd by KO is +400 and tko is +225. I think that's where the $ is at.

Floyd Mayweather by disqualified opponent +1000.

Will the fight go the distance? Yes +200/ No -275

How many ppv buys? over 4.99mil -210/ under 4.99mil +150

Will either fighter be knocked down or out? Yes -400/ No +250

Will McGregor throw a kick? Yes +650/ No -1800

There are so many easy bets to cash in on. The easiest $ to me is the kick. There is no way a fighter who has worked so hard to make as much as Conor has will jeopardize that with a kick. If he uses any mma strikes other than legal boxing techniques, he forfeits a large portion of his purse.

Edit: But if you're going 1/2 way, you may as go all the way in with the DQ/kick thing I suppose. Plus he can be dq'ed without violating his contract via rabbit punches etc.

It's so silly that one site has Floyd -400 and Conor +300 it should be like -5000 (opened at like -7000).

I really think Floyd will stop him (tko) but the odds on that don't look as good as I thought they would and Floyd could coast too much.Just Floyd on a straight bet is the best imo and or that and some small stuff on others.

Does anyone think this will get more than 4.6 million buys?

I doubt it even does 2.5 million with the way things are going for ticket sales and interest for this clown show.

Yeah. I really don't think it does numbers near the record set by Floyd/Manny. Not even close. I'm just excited for this circus to be over.

That's what is weird to me about this fight. I don't know a single person who is going to pay $100, yet the odds say it's favored to go over 5 mil. That means most people are betting that way. There are so many other fights that I want to see more than this one because I enjoy watching fighting at the highest level (ggg vs canelo, Ferguson vs lee etc), but this is the one fight that I have to see what happens. Perhaps it's the car crash effect. I believe I know what will happen, but I still want to watch it happen. Even though it is one of the 10 best boxers of all time fighting someone making their boxing debut.

Mayweather is 49-0 and Conor is 0-0 as far as professional boxing is concerned. Here are some real predictions about Mayweather VS McGregor fight from top boxers and MMA fighters goo.gl/65HSSQ Now, I am not underestimating Conor but as far as stats are concerned, Conor doesn't stand a chance.

@mbach

People also heaps of money to play powerball in hopes of not having to work anymore until they eventually blow their lump sum of cash on something stupid. To me, the betting on this fight is no different than that. This is the billion dollar jackpot of betting; especially considering the odds at the start of betting and how since then 95% of the bets are for McGregor have moved him to a +300 underdog against a 49-0 boxer in Floyd Mayweather.  It just further confirms that this entire circusis a cash grab. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you train with 12oz gloves then use 8oz gloves for fight night you will feel lightning fast and not burn out so quick.
