Jones vs dc and  rockhold's 1st title defense would serve as a great alternative. You won't need rousey or Conor to crack 1 million buys.

They should have them fight at 150 or some **** and put both titles on the line. Even though if RDA wins, he would vacate FW immediately. But still. Sell the **** out of this fight.

That would not sell the fight anymopre, since no one really gives a **** about RDA. Also it a very unneeded risk by the UFC that has no upside.  By doing that if Connor where to lose you are pretty much invalidating the belt he currently has.  In all honesty Mike that just seems like a terrible move the UFC would never make.

^^because its a sanctioned weight class by navada you can't just make up a weight class for a title that doesn't meet the requirements. for example a 150lbs person is over weight for the FW belt and there for the fighters wouldn't be eligible.

I do hear what you are saying though about making it count to sell numbers but I feel that wouldn't do anything to sell more tickets. RDA is not bringing in numbers. him having 2 titles wouldn't mean anything to the UFC and would only tie up 2 divisions whehter he gave up the 145 strap or not.

Mcregor is the numbers and by him being able to win one and still have his other would be ALL the buzz you need.

Dana has already said he's intrigued by the idea of Conor as a two weight classes champ and if RDA can make 150 without dying, I'm a duck.

It'll be for the 155 strap.

Anyone who thinks Conor McGregor actually defends both belts if he wins if dumb af. Him and his team have been complaining about the cut to 145 for over a year now. Do you know how much tougher it's gonna get if he were to have to fluctuate between 155 and 145 every other fight? Not gonna happen. McGregor vacates FW title if he wins, and with a loss he just stays at FW. He's not actually going to defend both belts simultaneously.

Frankie got ******. Nate vs Conor is a more interesting fight. This fight does a whole lot of nothing for me. Conor talks **** about another Brazilian for months and then fights a champion that no one really gives a **** about. Awesome business move. UFC #1.

Hopefully if Conor wins the number one contenders at 145 and 155 have to just twiddle their thumbs while he fights Robbie Lawler for the belt at 170. Just keep giving this guy title shots at every weight class he can make. Werdum vs Conor? **** it, Werdum's probably basic?

The UFC needs to get out of the business of match making. They need to be separate from the match making the way all boxing promotions are separate from the WBC. Let someone else make the match ups instead of having an obvious conflict of interest in place where they're making "superfights" that no one asked for in order to maximize profits. Meanwhile rightful number one contenders are passed over and forced to wait to fight for titles they've earned the right to fight for. It's irritating as a fan. I basically watched Frankie Edgar knock the **** out of Chad Mendes, beat Faber, destroy Cub, and destroy BJ Penn for no reason. Just wastes of fan's and Frankie's time.

I kind of wish McGregor would have tried to defend his FW title a couple times, or at least once. I know if he loses he still will but he will lose some shine if he gets dominated.

This is not really a "superfight." Between the two champions they have one title defense combined. It would of been nice to see McGregor get a couple defenses in and RDA build his name more before these two clash. However, it looks like the UFC are trying to get someone else to be LW champion ASAP.

Them allowing McGregor to keep the FW belt is ridiculous imo.UFC champions don't fight enough for one guy to defend 2 different classes without one of them (would be both most likely) becoming a mess.I remember not too long ago there being like 5 arguable #1 contenders at FW and they are gonna do this ****?I would rather Conor defend at 145 but if he isn't then he shouldn't keep the belt.If he wins the 155 strap he better drop the 145 belt and defend at 155 or if he loses go back to 145 and defend asap.

Opening a huge can of worms with this stunt. It should be Conor vs RDA and Edgar vs Aldo II for the FW belt.If Conor loses he can drop back down and fight the winner. Now Edgar has to wait potentially a year, considering ufc title fight consistency, to fight McGregor or take a fight with someone else.I don't like the way UFC is going but oh well it is what it is.

Perhaps they're allowing McGregor to keep his FW belt until they see what happens. If Conor loses (good chance) he goes back down to FW and starts to defend it, and everyone can pretend McGregor to LW didn't happen.
