As much as Cerrone is my favourite fighter at lightweight I gotta agree with rappinpapsoda.. I had pretty much counted Cerrone out when it went to the scorecards.... I didn't however feel any reason to complain when the decision went to Cerrone, I did however gain a lot respect for Bendo on how he reacted afterwards

Regardless of that, my heart says Cerrone on this to the point where my head's opinion is completely f'ckin Irrelevant...
If anyone deserves gold it's Cowboy, he doesn't care when, who or where & that to me is the definition of a true warrior

I agree with you rappinpapsoda, but if anyone deserves the judges' decision to work against them in the UFC it's Benson.

OR IS IT DIEGO?!?!?!

Edit: I'd like to see Diego and Benson fight so the judges could have personal breakdowns cageside.

That won't happen, Diego is trying to out-do Kenny Florian and is methodically making his way down to the women's strawweight division. After his next fight he'll have 2 more divisions, then sex change hiatus, then he'll take on WMMA by a storm.

Just heard a Cerrone interview, and he says he don't watch fight film. He said he don't watch his own fights.
I find it hard to believe... And think he is just staying true to the cowboy image by saying that.  I would think that would hinder his performance, and HE NEEDS  TO WATCH their first fight if he really plans on becoming champion.....what advantage would it even serve by NOT watching it?  To be a great in this sport, you need to study, improve, fix skills in your game.

I'm sure Cowboy has his team to study the first fight.... and strategies. But it just makes me wonder about the pro/cons of studying and not studying a opponent.

Whenever I see people talking about how Cerrone doesn't watch tape I remember when American media outlets started reporting that Kim Jong-il claimed to have shot eighteen holes-in-one during his first ever round of golf and wonder which is more true.

It true that Cerrone does not watch tape. However that was not always the case. He used to watch tape and more or less admitted he would psych himself out.  He does not watch it because he wants to be a badass, it because it ****s with him. His coaches watch the footage for him and have him train certain things for the fight. He himself just does not watch the footage because he found it hurt more then helped.

Why would he watch tape? Wouldn't he watch a dvd or other media? :-)

This fight is so interesting. Also, it's crazy to see that Cowboy is a slight Tapology favorite while being a moderate dog in the betting lines. I grabbed him up at +190 and he's dropping closer and closer to even money as the fight approaches.

For RDA fans, I'm genuinely interested to hear why you think he's going to win. Is it based on their first fight? His forward pressure? BJJ?

I just think Cerrone's improved mental state, momentum and conditioning will take him far in this one, despite what may turn out to be a difficult start.

I think this is a different Cowboy than the one that fought RDA before, he seems more focused and confident right now he looks almost unstoppable to me... Almost. I think RDA is stronger and has good power behind his kicks and punches and Cowboy tends to get hit more than he should be. Dos Anjos has a very good striking defense and grapling wise I consider him as good or slightly better than Cowboy.

I think this is a toss up but I lean toward RDA, whoever wins it should be a great fight and Im happy with either champion.

I'll admit, I was banking on RDA looking a lot different fight week.  If you haven't seen him, he looks the same.

@Follow: Interesting, because Jeremy Botter was raving on Twitter about how much smaller he looks in person this week.

As of mid last week he looked the same as he normally does before he starts his cut.  The only reason I even was interested is because how much smaller he looked to people that saw him.

Maybe he's different in person but from photos using objects and his trainers he is the same.

If this is legit, it seems he gotten a fair bit softer.  Though who knows when these pictures where actually taken.

I think RDA was using steriods, but I don't necessarily think these pictures are evidence of it.

Fury is a smart dude though I don't see why he would lie or use a fake picture.

I don't think he lieing or that there fake, but someone brought up the point below the picture that he looked similar before his first cerrone fight.  So the timing of the picture could play a part since the middle picture may have been during camp while the last picture was pre camp ect.  However I still think he looks softer in the third picture then I have seen him in years.  I expect RDA to look softer by  fight night, similarly to how Aldo was looking a bit soft to me. Though I expect RDA to either get caught/or look noticeably softer. I also expect his cardio to not be up to snuff and he will start gassing hard by the third round.

There are several different things that can change a fighters' physical appearance one of them being steroids but it's certainly not limited to steroids. But I know this day and age right away when we see a fighter in shape the steroid label gets applied. It's ******** but that's the way it is I guess.

I've just always thought RDA would have got popped.  I was butthurt about the Pettis fight.  I am disappointed from the results I have found.  Regardless....here's a secret guys.

Cerrone TKO Round 3.
