@Legend

I think your in for a very rude awakening if you think this will be easy for Magney. What makes you confient that Magney can stuff Maia?  Can you name one Welter weight who has been able to stop Maia taken down every time?  Because if Magney can't hang on the ground, his likely hood of winning this is very low. You seem confident he can stop the take down, and I would appreciate a rational for this. Jon fitch and Rory where both taken down, what makes you think Magney will be any different?

Maybe I am missing something, but I just don't see where others come to this conclusion that Magney can just stuff Maia at will. Not sure what fight of Maia or Magney makes people confident in this.

Pretty sure that Ryan LaFlare is a much better athlete than Magny and has way better TDD and he couldn't shake Maia off him until Maia gassed out in the 5th.

In a 3 round fight I find it hard to see what Magny has for Maia ...

That said, I've underestimated Magny a LOT, so what the **** do I know ...

Magny might be able to keep him at a distance.  Maybe.

Not sure who you think is on his way out.

One's fighting a 7 fight win streak against lower ranked comp., the other used to be a top middleweight contender, is now a top 10 welterweight, riding a 2 fight win streak who's fought and beat better comp.

And he's also the favorite.

Neither guy is on their way out.

Hmm. Doubtful.  Depends, I'm not gonna put up 100 to win 60. But I'd consider going 80 on your 100 if I can't get anyone to play straight.

Another 50/50 fight for me, I just don't like how Maia can gas out halfway into fights.

Prediction: wrong Magny   wrong Decision

I've decided to go with Magny here. 8 inches of reach, 10 years younger, and the fact that Demian Maia is a very one dimensional fighter has convinced me.

I think Maia is capable of the sprint submission finish against Magny. For every second the fight continues momentum swings in Magny's favor though.

Maia's performance was absolutely brilliant in this fight. Glad to see I was justified in thinking he wasn't getting as much respect as he deserved from some in the lead-up.

Well-earned POTN bonus.
