Announced during tonight's UFC PPV and reported on the UG.

Rumors:

American Top Team

Marcelo Alfaya (16-7) Porto Alegre, Brazil
Steve Carl (21-4), Belle Plain, Iowa
Nathan Coy (14-5), Vallejo, Calif.
Michael Graves (4-0), Toledo, Ohio
Hayder Hassan (6-1), Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Sabah Homasi (8-4), New Brunswick, N.J.
Uros Jurisic (5-0), Ljubljana, Slovenia
Steve Montgomery (8-2), Florence, S.C.

Blackzilians

Valdir Araujo (14-5), Gama, Federal District, Brazil
Carrington Banks (3-0), Peoria, Ill.
Luiz Buscape (16-5), Joao Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil
Jason Jackson (4-2), Kingston, Jamaica
Vicente Luque (7-4-1), Westwood, N.J.
Andrews Nakahara (4-2-2), Mogi das Cruzes, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Felipe Portela (8-2), Brasilia, Brazil
Kamarudeen Usman (5-1) Auchi, Nigeria

-------

Dan Lambert heads the ATT team, and rival Glenn Robinson heads the Blackzilians club. The series prominently features the rivalry between the two camps, which developed in 2011 after a band of ATT fighters defected and started their own camp with Robinson. The two gyms are located just 20 minutes apart in South Florida, where the show is being filmed.

According to today’s announcement, though the fighters will live together, they’ll continue to train separately at their home gyms. However, the fights won’t take place at a neutral site, and instead, bouts will take place at one of the two gyms. Additionally, matchups won’t be revealed until weigh-ins, when each fighter will learn who his opponent is.

Again, all rumors from the forums at the UG, but speculation is still fun.

I was really impressed by the preview to this. It really looks like it could be a lot of fun. I've been getting very bored of the TUF format, but this interests me. I'm hoping Steve Carl does well.

Steve Montgomery is a beast, so is Soulforce.

Couple notable WSOF guys as well.

This does sound like it could be entertaining, but I am not completely sold on it yet.

Looked like in the preview Steve Montgomery was having a seizure or something. Wonder if he has them often or if it's the result of something. Either way, lots of notable names. Carl, Usman, Montgomery, Coy, Buscape, Homasi.

Really excited for this season.

Nathan Coy, very interesting.

so the former WSOF champ gets treated like any other up-and-comer. That has got to hurt the guys fighting in that organization currently.

Very intrigued by the new format. It's something I've heard people say they've been wanting to see for a long time. The prize is $500,000 rather than a contract pretty cool.

Brings me back to the old Hammer House vs Chute Boxe vs ATT days. I love this idea and think the sport could use some more "Camp rivalries". BZ and ATT are both awesome camps too, should be fun to watch.

Will any of the fighters on this Ultimate Fighter get a UFC contract at the end?

I think that this has a good chance of doing well- more rivalry with the fighters (pre-existing) more coach rivalry and more on the line; that coupled with new format and new local ect I think could really change things up and get some people interested. Ill watch regardless but perhaps get some hype and do well in the ratings!

I'm sure most if not all the fighters on the show will be given a contract. It would be silly spending 12 weeks promoting fighters that aren't receiving a contract. The 500,000 prize is just more compelling because the 6 figure contract is only marginally better than a standard UFC contract.

Let's get this rivalry moving forward. Does anyone know off hand or feel like doing some digging on how many fights guys from these camps have had against each other since the forming of BZ?

@Taco, that was in response to the question dana got asked when if any team mates will fight each other during the season. He said it would've posed some problems but apparently they got "lucky" with the format....

Meaning they probably go 50/50 the whole season..

They already more or less got the best welterweight prospect in MMA right now in Usman, who i'm interested to see how he does against someone like Steve Carl or Nathan Coy. This might be a season of TUF i actually watch.

@michigandolphin looks like it was from cutting too much too quick and depleted level of electrolytes.
