Why would they headline this card with two guys that are coming off a loss, when they have a title fight on this card as well?

Because Yushin Okami was in the UFC. Name recognition to attempt to pull in casual fan who might remember Yushin Okami fighting Anderson or people freaking out when he was cut. It is a slap in the face to Ivanov and Rama. In fairness it's a Heavyweight fight between two guys who normally finish their opponents so it's probably not going 5 rounds.

I can see that. I have no problem with them using Okami to promote the card. However they could of put Okami on the poster and promotional materials hoping that those casuals fans tune in for Okami but stay for a HW title fight main event. As you said, those HWs usually finish guys so it could be an exciting and entertaining main event for the fans that go to the event or who watch it on TV.

I hope WSOF can start bringing in some more big name fighters or prospects for their cards.  I have enjoyed watching their fight cards and I think that they can potentially overtake Bellator as the #2 MMA Organization in the US.

Why do you think they can overtake Bellator?

@rappinpapsoda

I just have a feeling that Bellator isn't going to be able to draw enough in terms of ratings that would be necessary for Viacom to feel the need to hold onto Bellator.  Granted I'm probably wrong about it, in fact I wouldn't be surprised nor would I be disappointed if I am wrong about Bellator's future.  However, I feel like the only thing that Bellator has over WSOF is the financial backing from Viacom, and should that go away all the big fighters from Bellator will want to jump ship.

Green hornet, I can see that happening that way I guess. I could also see the UFC buying out Bellator too.

I would be very annoyed if Bellator was bought by the UFC, I wanna see Tito fight for ****'s sake.
