Prediction: correct Woodley   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 2

I favor Woodley. When Gastelum had fought Musoke or Story, I saw a man Woodley can beat. I don't think Woodley is the quitter that Ellenberger is (who was speaking of retirement for over a year prior and looking his worst too ).

I have a hard time seeing Gastelum grind out or tire Woodley, Woodley is bigger and more athletic. Woodley is usually good for going 3 rounds...I remember him controlling guys like Tarec and Mein for 15 minutes. Woodley is faster and hits a hell of a lot harder, Gastelum is a pressure fighter who is also somewhat hittable and Woodley likes to explode from the outside on openings. I think the openings will be there, I think when Woodley hits KG...he will stay hit, Woodley is a whole different animal than Story.

I do see their takedown defense and offense canceling eachother out, however Gastelum is the much better grappler or...mat wrestler if you will. Woodley is the better takedown artist, Woodley has more experience and has fought the better competition too.

It's a great fight, I'm rooting for Gastelum and don't mind him being favored in this either.

Story and Hall already got straight robbed (especially Rick).  Tyrone won't quit got the power, explosiveness and wrestling.  He gonna end this BS streak of Kelvin "Diego Sanchez" Gastelum

Story is arguable, but I don't see any way that his fight with Uriah Hall should have been scored in favor of Hall.

It's simple

Prediction: correct Woodley   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 3

I've never picked the wrong winner of a SD in my life.  The judges get them wrong quit often, however.  You see, if you don't see it, you're just not on my level.

Honestly tho, at the end if the Story fight, I was 100% Story won the fight.  If not a pure robbery pretty close.  The Hall fight I thought was pretty even but Kelvins control stifled Hall a bit.  For that, he probably earned the nod.  I just like to throw his name in to stir the pot and get all the peons to show me and dislike my posts.  I feel that gives them a feeling of self entitlement and I like to give back to the small people.

Gastelum isn't that pure pressure fighter anymore. he still keeps a good pace but has developed a great jab and is shockingly good at fighting from a distance for a guy of his build.

Gastelum's stocky build, jab and love of throwing straight down the pipe should help stifle and deal with Tyron's strikes which are always so wide.  Woodley won't roll over and give up but he still quits. he doesn't do anything that his corner tells him, he just keeps looking for a hail mary punch to land.

The story fight was a draw IMO, but Uriah Hall? His only defiant moment in that fight is when he landed a barrage of punches in the second round, other than that it was all Kelvin.

Was very confident in Gastelum when this one was announced. The closer the fight gets, the more uncertain I am.

Feeling kind of ambivalent about this one especially with Woodley training with Roufusport. Gastelum just keeps winning though and Woodley's had some flat performances.

That's a very cool look at the analytic side of the fight. But, I don't think it take into account cardio, which has been Woodley's biggest issue during his losses.

Agree. If you pick Woodley, you don't want a decision. Another interesting stat, Woodley has only one loss to fighters without a reach advantage on him: Jake Shields.

Gastelum Hospitalized

Prediction: wrong Gastelum   wrong Decision

it has been reported that Gastelum has been hospitalized after bad weight cut. according to Dana the fight is still on...  Jeremy Botter tweeted it...so take it with a grain of salt but who knows what's going on. it may be a good time to re-check your picks if you have Gastelum and the fight stills on.

Today sucks for MMA. One of the best 170ers hospitalized and the ******* UFC 184 card, which i have tickets (that I'm strongly considering selling now) to gets worse.
