What could it be?

GSP return?
Brock Lesnar return?
UFC uniforms?
bought out Bellator or Invicta?
Dana White stepping down?
Finally got a event in New York?
Next TUF coaches?
Signing of Gina Carano?
UFC done with PPV?
New division?

What do you think it is?

There's a rumor going around that the UFC is looking to sell.

I couldn't imagine the UFC selling at this point, but who knows?  That definitely would be a big announcement!

I kinda think that the UFC has a new deal kinda like what WWE has with their WWE Network.  Get ALL events, all fights, maybe a few upcoming events.  Basically an improved Fight Pass.

If I had my way, the UFC would finally be done with PPV, but that's not likely at this point.

My guess is a GSP return

If it is anything to do with a fighter as much as I want it to be about GSP, I don't believe it is. More likely Lesnar is coming back

1) GSP return?
Not likely. GSP just started training again after being injured for year. Seems too soon for this announcement.

2) Brock Lesnar return?
Less likely. Still under contract with WWE and is their Champion right now. I'm sure he'll be the corner stone of the Wrestlemania event in the spring.

3) UFC uniforms?
This was topic that was hot a few months back but has really cooled off. In fact Dana seemed to turn a 180 on the issue when asked about fighters and not being able to get sponsors.

4) Bought out Bellator or Invicta?
Highly unlikely. Bellator is just starting their new faze and haven't been able to start Coker's plan. Invicta is also just in the infant stages with their Fight Pass deal as well.

5) Dana White stepping down?
The announcement is being promoted as positive, exciting, can't miss event. I don't see White's stepping down being that for the UFC.

6) Finally got a event in New York?
I can't see the UFC being to hold a NY vote silent for three weeks before the announcement.

7) Next TUF coaches?
This is back burner news. TUF coaches announcement doesn't require a press conference.

8) Signing of Gina Carano?
Carano is busy filming movies and only used the UFC to generate publicity for her and her last movie. Plus she'd only fight Rousey and Rousey just got her fight moved to the end February. They wouldn't announce Carano's signing in November without knowing that Rousey is waiting for her.

9) UFC done with PPV?
Possibly. Except WWE PPV events aren't and were never shown/viewed in bars. UFC events on FOX or FOX Sports aren't promoted by bars as an event being shown there. Exclusive Fight Pass cards beyond FOX wouldn't be shown in bars. Building UFC PPV's as can't miss sporting events would really be hurt by a move like this.

10) New division?
I hope not. Does anyone really want to watch guys that fight at 115lbs? The UFC barely promotes the FlyW division. Also Dana was recently on the record saying that it would be few more years before the UFC looks to add another women's division.

What I think it is, is the announcement that they're expanding TUF. I think FOX is done with the show, so the UFC is going to expand it on Fight Pass. They're also going to announce that they're going to be doing several more editions internationally in 2015 that lead to an event in that market. The shows will be broadcasted on TV internationally in those markets and on Fight Pass to American audiences.

These shows are going to be reminiscent of TUF: China, where there aren't "named" fighters as coaches and the coaches don't fight at seasons end. However this will all culminate with a sort of TUF: World Cup, where the winners of each show will all participate in TUF tournament comprised of all the winners from all over the world to determine who is The Ultimate Fighter of the World in each weight class.

As cool as this sounds, I fully expect this to be totally underwhelming and a huge letdown as I find most “huge announcements” to be...

I heard down the g****vine that a super heavyweight division was going to happen eventually. Although i didnt expect it for another few years it could be possible.  It really makes me sad how they handled the flyweights.  The really deserve the spotlight more.  I think the best thing for the division is mighty mouse turns into a mini, black, Conor and Chael.

Perhaps an extension on their FOX contract or more UFC on FOX events.

For the most part, I feel anytime there is a "big announcement" it doesn't live up to the hype. Most of the big announcements happen organically

VTJ and UFC have announced a partnership in the past.

Maybe it will be the schedule for that to happen since its supposed to start airing in December

I love JMMA, but that wouldn't be considered a huge announcement by non casual fans.
