Rickson is also almost 60, and he specifically mentioned that he's been impacted by the injuries he's collected over the years. I remember reading somewhere that he's had to deal with several herniated or bulging discs. Rolling with those in BJJ just to keep in shape is challenging, let alone trying to compete against the best in the world.

yea the whole point behind a red belt system, where once you get to a certain dan, you have red added to you belt, then have a completely red belt is to show that this person has contributed to a sport greatly and is a master, and an all around bad ass ***********er, but can no longer roll with and beat the younger guys who are absolute killers. once you get that red on your belt, you dont need to prove anything.

That was pretty good event. A couple of fun matches, and a couple of less fun ones. Seeing Saku compete against Renzo was surreal and awesome, even if the match was mediocre.
