Guillard has been on one helluva a tear in his last few fights, and has shown some great improvement. Lauzon will be a great test to see if Guillard is for real or just over-hyped because of a few good wins. This fight is either going to end with Guillard by KO or Lauzon by submission. Either way this fight is not going to the judges. I will go back and forth on this one. For now, I'm picking Guillard by KO in the 2nd. If Guillard wins, it will be KO of the Night. If Lauzon wins it might get Submission of the Night.

Lauzon's one of my favorite fighters, and as bad as Guillard's conditioning has been, Lauzon's has been worse. I honestly think this is a step down for Guillard, he should be fighting more top tier guys after the streak he's been on. Lauzon could sub him or maybe catch him with a flurry. I think Guillard wins this fight though.

i love the way when guillard fights he keeps his hands down just to dare the other fighter to strike him. he knows he can land a better strike than his opponent. lauzon is getting KTFO.

Lauzon has proven to be one of the biggest front runners in the business. The way Lauzon fights he has about a 3 or 4 minute window where he is very dangerous and then significantly slows down and becomes far less dangerous. If Melvin avoids that storm he should KO Lauzon, Melvin could catch him at any time but those first few minutes will be the most dangerous.

@crum, his cardio used to be terrible. But since hooking up with Jackson's, it has improved dramatically. We just haven't been able to see it lately because he's knocking everybody out in the first round.

That's true, I think this is a horrible match-up for Lauzon. Guillard is in a different world than Lauzon right now in the UFC. Guillard should easily take this, but I won't be surprised if Lauzon can somehow pull out a victory.

@crum, yeah, the only way I see Lauzon winning would be if Melvin got too eager and jumped into Lauzon's gaurd. But, I have confidence in him, he's been maturing more and more as a fighter. I think he'll blast J-WOW....err, J-Lau.

Lauzon is a beast. I like him, his style. He excites me, but Guillard is too hungry. I think he will end this fight via KO. I wont be shocked if he gets caught in a sub though.
