Prediction: Silva  |  KO/TKO  |  Round 4

To be fair 90% of the Anderson Silva predictions throughout his career has been first round KO victory, so this is to be expected.

Prediction: Silva  |  Decision

I'm finding a bit difficult to pick this fight, the obvious pick is Silva, but if I look closer then a lot of ifs start to pop up, Silva's chin, age, body wear and tear and mindset among other things, fighters usually are more slow paced and less aggressive after a KO loss, and Silva comes from two straight (even if one of them was  a TKO) that makes me wonder about if he's gonna be using his leg kicks as much, or if he's going to be taking chances like he usually does. Also I've always thought that a lot of Anderson success has to do with him getting into his opponent head, they usually gave up before putting on a fight. Weidman was the first (or one of the few)that took the fight like Silva was just another dude and he ended up defeating him twice. I don't see Diaz giving a **** about Silva's legacy or his record, and I do see him taking the fight to Silva, on the other hand Diaz has **** for striking defense, he doesn't move his head, block anything just straight up gangsta walk to his opponent face, and I'm not sure how well can he take a pinpoint laser strike from Silva.
I'm leaning toward Silva, but honestly I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Diaz defeated him, and at this point I think it would be much more interesting if he did.

Dana White has backed off the idea that Anderson Silva will get a title shot if he wins this fight against Diaz.

******* good. A third Weidman fight for beating a welterweight would be absurd.

Anderson doesn't deserve a title shot if he wins here. And I'm a huge Anderson fan. No point in making a trilogy when 1 guy clearly wins the first 2.

Prediction: Silva  |  KO/TKO  |  Round 3

Anderson Silva will be fighting with a metal rod in his leg against Nick Diaz. I think unless "Spider" suffers from Lumbago in the midst of this fight, Nick Diaz' chin might actually expire against the dynamic standup striking game unless he can wrestle him to the ground and use his Jiu-Jitsu. Anderson Silva as well has a Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, but hasn't needed to use those skills because of his demoralization tactics along with great head movement except for when he hit a lucky 5th round submission in his first fight with Chael Sonnen.

Just watched all the embeddeds ... man, Anderson at fight week is such a gem ... so calm, so relaxed, oozing charisma ... he has a way of making everyone around him feel special and fuzzy inside, from the kid who moves the signed posters out to the other fighters on the card ... I mean, you can clearly see McMann was truly inspired by his presence, and this is an Olympic silver medalist, not your average up and comer ... heck dude got a hug out of Nick Diaz at weigh ins ...

This UFC video on Anderson Silva is classic.
I love listening to Anderson Silva break down all of his important fights. Some great lines in this video, definitely.

They could change it to Nate and Nick vs Anderson.

I'm still picking Anderson.

Diaz is hoping to be stronger at this weight . I don't see it? I can't help but to see a Leben like destruction of Diaz....Props to Nick for taken this fight. He has Everything to gain, and very little to lose..I too am hoping Diaz gains some strength so he will at least have a punchers chance.

Nick just fights way to wreck less.... And he has gotten by with volume punching over the years....over 170.lb fighters Siva will be pushing 200.lbs come fight time. His blows will affect Nick, and I'm feeling a Front kick ala Belfort ending....Condit was able to land that kick several times. So Nick is vulnerable to it with his wide spread hands.
I can't wait to watch this fight.

Who would have thought that the once unbeatable Silva would go 0-2 1NC over a 28 month span?
