I've got Calderwood, but honestly, I could see half of the girls on the show winning it. Such a good season.

i see a lot of people saying JoJo will win which i would love since she's my favorite WMMA fighter but i really don't see that happening  all she has is her muay thai carla would wrestle her down easy . i think the winner will be Tecia Torres or Carla Esparza .

Neither Esparza, Torres, or Calderwood can be considered a dark horse to win it they're already the favorites.

Jessica Penne is my dark horse to win the show.

I agree with @gunn ... Jo Jo is my favourite female fighter on the planet and one of my favourites p4p4g (pound for pound for gender) but we have yet to see her tested against a girls with Penne's or Esparza's wrestling so we don't really know what's gonna happen there. I'm hoping she dinky ninjas the **** out of them but I have a feeling it won't happen :)

I think Penne's way more than a dark horse, she may be coming up from 105 but she's a big 105er (taller than Esparza who's currently the 115 champ) so I don't think that'll play into anything.

I see Penne, Esparza and Torres (I know, she hasn't really been tested either, but she's decimated better competition) as front runners and Jo Jo, Rose (she tested the **** out of Torres), Justine Kish as dark horses. I also think there are at least 4-5 more fighters that could have a magical run since this is a tournament and anything can happen.

All in all, this is without any shred of doubt the best season of TUF ever on paper and I don't see any way it doesn't materialize into it in reality.

My pick to win: Heart and 99%belief says Jo Jo. Head says Penne. Gut says Torres.

That's how good this season is, I can't even get all my body parts to agree :)

I think hes referring to the fact that you aren't technically a champion until you defend your belt. By the time Pettis defends his belt, he will have been inactive for a year and a half, nevermind if he gets hurt again. Yet when Hendnerson fights Dos Anjos that will have been his 3rd fight (likely 3rd win) in less than a year since losing the title. Point is, Henderson was a real champion, Pettis, as of right now, is not.

Anthony Pettis beat the paper champion of all paper champions; Benson Henderson was the weakest champion in the history of the UFC's modern era.

I don't agree that Pettis or Henderson are paper champions. Henderson's title reign is every bit as good as any other LW champ. Pettis is just being kept out of fighting to coach TUF and because of injury prior to that.

Benson Henderson won the title after beating Frankie Edgar in a fight where many (but not me) thought Frankie Edgar won, including Dana White.

He then rematched Frankie Edgar and in one of the biggest robberies in UFC history, Benson Henderson came away with the title in a fight where the vast majority of people believed that Frankie Edgar won.

Benson Henderson then defeated Nate Diaz in a dominant performance because Benson's style was essentially tailor-made to beat Nate Diaz.

He then fought Gilbert Melendez and in what arguably may be the greatest title fight robbery in UFC history, he 'defeated' Gilbert Melendez via split-decision to retain the belt.

He then fought Anthony Pettis (a.k.a. Glass Joe) and lost in the first round.

When Benson Henderson was champion, he was arguably the fourth best lightweight in the world by the end of his reign. That's not impressive...like at all.

The only controversial title fight Henderson was involved in was Edgar II in my opinion. I really enjoyed the first fight, and it's one of the few fights that I can watch over and over again. I can still watch it to this day and enjoy it, but no matter how many times I watch it, I don't see any argument for Edgar winning that fight. I thought a unanimous for Henderson was fairly clear.

The controversy in the rematch I completely understand. I haven't watched that fight ever since watching it live, but watching it live I thought Edgar won, so I understand the controversy here.

The Nate Diaz fight was obviously not even close, but as for the Melendez fight? This (to me) is a prime example of a fight that was as close as you can get to a draw without it actually being a draw. Again, much like the first Edgar fight, I enjoyed this one, so I have watched it a few times. Every time I watch it, I still think this fight was so close. Any guy could have won, but had Gilbert won, there would be no controversy talk. People only use the term 'controversy' here because Henderson has been on the winning end of some 'sketchy' decisions in the past. I'm neutral on both guys, I like them both. If Melendez won, I wouldn't have complained.

I understand the criticism, hell, the fight after losing the belt he fought to another 5 round split. Is the hate for Henderson deserve? In my opinion, no, but I understand the complaints. I don't think a few close fights should be used to discredit a guy like Benson.

How did a thread about women's 115 lb title tournament turn into a discussion about the legitimacy of Henderson's title reign?

I can't tell if you're trying to be sarcastic and act like the thread was about Henderson the whole time, if you don't agree with terming it a tournament, or if you legitimately don't know anything about TUF 20.
