Nowhere close to a low blow.  Robbie probably could have stopped him right then.  

Still a good fight.

Lawler's shin hit the cup on the way to the body big john said you could hear it in the octagon and look at the gif you can see the shorts move up when from the kick

Have not yet seen the fight ... geo-blocked while in Canada, but I do think his shin made contact with the cup. Cups in general don't protect as much as some believe; you really don't know until you've been hit there (and I have, many times.) I don't think Brown is the type to milk. 

I agree with @skelli. I think Robbie would've been a little more vocal if he knew it was a totally clean shot. A la Cowboy against Miller. 

I think Robbie's shin pushed the cup against his nuts (which hurts) and Brown reacted. Also, I don't think Robbie is the kind of guy who'd be too vocal about it even if he believed it didn't go near Brown's groin, he's not the kind of dude to stress about little things like that, especially after a win.

I don't see any need for uproar, just one of those things that happens in a fight.

One thing's for sure though, I think Matt Brown's attitude up till now has earned him the benefit of the doubt since nothing he's done upto date would suggest he's the kind of guy to fake a hit. I mean come on, he's Matt ******* Brown. He eats bears and farts chest hairs.

In that gif, to me it looks like Lawler's toes catch his cup while Brown blocks the kick. No way Brown would fake a groin shot.
