Or Diaz isn't fighting for a while. That might have something to do with it

Seriously? You know Diaz is the one who turned down the fight, right? He actually said it himself, no hear say, no UFC spinning wheel. The dude actually said it himself.

Nick didn't turn it down, he just don't want no more of that funny money. 500,000.00 or a title shot, Stockton WHAT. Otherwise he'll go Box some real hitters.

Diaz should go try boxing and see how good that 4 rd'er under card un-televised money really is.

Diaz watched Shields get rag dolled by Lombard. He wants no part of that. He's always talking about money, why doesn't he just sign with Bellator? I'm sure they would pay him the most while he could probably beat everyone there.

No, there was unrelated spam posting in this thread that's been taken down.

Diaz is the one who wants no part of the fight actually. I personally think it would be a barn burner of a fight to see and I'm a Diaz fan.

@p4pgoat, he can't sign for Bellator because he's under contract with the UFC.

@Nomad, I didn't say Diaz pussied out, I just said he was the one to refuse (for whatever reasoning, it could've been an ingrown toenail for all I care) therefore the UFC can't be accused of "protecting Lombard from him". Also I think calling Diaz and offering him a fight with Lombard could very well be the worst way to protect him from said Diaz :)

Oh, and Diaz would get creamed by any decent boxer.

I don't think either fighter needs any protecting. Nick Diaz will fight anyone...when he wants to. Lombard also has a history of fighting anyone. I mean, the guy pretty much went up to LHW to fight Prangley in Bellator.

LOLOLOL. Anyone who believes thats true is an imbecile... It's completely ridiculous to think its true given the way Diaz handles himself. He's immature and unprofessional to say the very least.
