I've never been much of a Chael Sonnen fan, until he almost beat Anderson Silva in their first fight. Then I realized he was totally legit and there might be a method to his madness.

When he was on TUF coaching against Jon Jones, there was whole different side to him. He was actually very nice to Jon Jones on the show whereas Jones said he understood Chael says things to sell a fight, but then make childish remarks and gestures to him. By the end of the show Jones finally admitted Chael was nice guy and showed him a lot of respect.

On TUF Brazil, I had no idea the extent of Neanderthal-ism Wanderlei is suffering from. First, Chael has called Silva out for years, Silva never responded until Chael's star was shining brighter than his. So I really believe Silva only wants the fight because he's one loss away from getting bounced from the UFC. And maybe in his head he thinks however it goes down there can be an immediate rematch, thus extending his career by 2 fights.

Second, he's representing the host country, and he's not doing a very good job. I know the fighters on the show want to support their countryman, but if an American coach acted the way Silva did to a coach from another country I'd be embarrassed (This of how Henderson acted when he coached against Bisping, that's how it should be done)

Third, I read someone saying that Chael threw the first punch, which technically isn't true. Chael pushed Wanderlei just the same as Wanderlei pushed Chael in episode 3. I didn't see Chael say anything in that segment that was egging Silva on. The closest was "Do you know when?" The reason he asked that, was Silva was amped up for some reason and Chael thought it was because Silva had learned the date when they would fight, because at the time of shooting this show, it wasn't known. And Silva clapping and pacing and swearing was just totally thuggish. I don't blame Chael for standing his ground.

Fourth, I agree with Dana White, I think that assistant coach should be in jail. There's 20 guys trying to break up the fight, and he jumps in to punch Chael in the back. What a punk. I hope he gets kicked off the show.
