Not a tournament fight or anything, Hirose missed weight on both attempts coming in even heavier in his second attempt leading to the DQ loss.

It has to be an honour thing ... Hirose has disgraced his family by missing weight, in the old days he would've had to commit Harakiri, but times have changed and now he'll just settle for the loss on his record ;)

There was a situation last year in Brazil when a fighter was disqualified before the fight and the fight was removed from the event on Tap since it didn't happen after all. So while extra points and a win for pick % are nice, it shouldn't count. It's a different situation than the Tomimatsu-Inoue fight, which took place with additional stipulations (and Tomimatsu could still potentially win in another way).

Besides, since the result was added to Tap before the picks locked down, about everybody that could switched to Kitago, so it wasn't exactly a fair pick.

lol @ missing weight by more on the 2nd attempt.  I can't specifically remember seeing that before.

I agree with Joe. Especially since the bout cancellation was known before picks were locked. it gives an unfair advantage to the more attentive parties (or anyone else who stumbles on a post or article that said it).

We're going to remove the score from BLC, hopefully it gets removed from Tap too.

I remember seeing the green check mark already when making picks now that I think about it.

I imagine @Skelli will review it and adjust it but until then @grizzlyedwin has to leave it as he has since he's just entering what Pancrase shows as official results.

Of course, like he said, his job is to put the scores down as he sees them on the most reliable source, I totally agree with that.

@joe kerr different to the situation in Brazil, Hirose was awarded a loss on his record.

Again, I'll quote Kpro "can't sacrifice fight database accuracy for scoring."

I'm just doing my job and will let Skell or Greg decide and do as they like.

Either way, I'm not going to go back and forth on the subject.

Had to do these picks in 1-2 minutes as I was helping a family member move all day.  Definitely a card I wish I'd been able to spend a normal amount of time doing picks instead of quick Tap favorite/finish method glances.  Not saying I'd be guaranteed to be doing better but it'd be hard to do worse.  I'm doing what is known as `****ting the bed`.

@Kpro, I have no excuse, spent the proper amount of research on this card, was confident in most of my picks yet the sheets they are a-staining ...

Hopefully Isao showed much better tdd, I was hoping Hironaka would embarrass him on the ground to show him he needs to improve it. Not surprised at all that Shimizu won but surprised he KO'd Atsushi, didn't see that coming at all. Hopefully they get video up quick, til then I shall try to figure out how they will cut a Rin promo for their new energy drink

Look like the forces that be have chosen to treat the Kitago/Hirose bout as cancelled (which is a great decision, imo).

Yeah this hasn't happened too often, but it has happened a few times in the past.  If the fighters didn't step into the ring/cage, there was no fight, so there can be no result.
