Pancrase 257 Wiki

This event marked the last time that Pancrase's iconic ring will be used as they are switching to a cage and Unified Rules.

The event featured the finals of their ill fated Bantamweight tourney which crowned Taichi Nakajima the champ when he KO'd Marcio Cesar with a spinning back kick.

Also featured was a bout billed as the original RINGS vs original Pancrase in Naruse vs Kondo. Kondo won by majority decision.

The co-main event saw Kiyotaka Shimizu defend his Super Flyweight (126 lbs) King of Pancrase title by defeating Atsushi Yamamoto via soccerkick KO.

The main event featured a cross promotion super fight between Lightweight King of Pancrase Isao Kobayashi and Shooto World Lightweight champion Kuniyoshi Hironaka. Isao would give the ring a fitting farewell by winning via soccerkick.
