Prediction: correct Cruz   correct Decision  

This could be a very competitive fight. Johnson's speed might enable him to land a number of takedowns. However I don't believe he'll be any better than Faber at actually controlling things once they hit the floor. Cruz is crafty at getting back up and over the course of 5 rounds I expect him to out-point Mighty Mouse.

Inthink it will be a great fight but Cruz will win more rounds than Johnson and get the decision

I'm pulling for MM but I think Cruz will take it. His size advantage combined and usual hit and run tactics will be too much.

No doubt Johnson will bring it, but if Brad Pickett can outwrestle him to a decision, I just don't know how he gets it done against Cruz.

I see Cruz retaining his title here in a fight of the night. Demetrious Johnson is a monster but Cruz is too technical and after this fight. Urijah Faber will get another shot and will take full advantage of it.

I mean he got a title shot off of a loss.

Cruz is WAY too unorthodox, fast, and long to lose to MM.

Might be some wishful thinking on my part, but I'm picking Johnson for a submission victory.  I'm hoping that Mighty Mouse's agility can earn him a take down where maybe he can outwork Cruz on the ground.  Cruz was just awarded his blue belt in JJ at the conclusion of his most recent fight.  I understand that everyone's qualifications for color are different, but you can't be too advanced at blue belt, which means he's at least a little vulnerable on the ground.

If the fight stays in striking range, I'd say that Cruz wins it by sheer reach advantage and counter punching.  The size differential is just too great for Mighty Mouse to find a way to win via striking.  With that being said, I see more ways for Cruz to win than Johnson, but I'm going to go with my heart on this one and pick Mighty Mouse.

i think mm takes it...but not in first round..i think he takes it in 5th, after he's been beaten for most of the fight...cruz goes for a takedown to chew clock, and mm catches a sub while cruz is a little lazy

Yeah, I need to adjust the round selection, because I highly doubt he secures a submission that Cruz can't get out of in the first round while they're still fresh.  I think it'll happen 2-3 rounds in.  By round 5 I think both guys will be too sweaty and tired to hold a sub anyway.

I think Johnson will pose a bigger threat than what most are expecting. This will help Johnson become more seasoned so we can see a better Benavidez fight for the flyweight championship next year.

A very tough fight to pick. Both fighters are very quick, and have great wrestling skills. I think that Johnson has the advantage on the ground, while in the stand-up, I think Cruz has the advantage. If Johnson can get the fight to the ground, then I see him getting the decision, but if Cruz keeps the fight on the feet, I see him winning by decision or late TKO.
