I've been asking where this mofo's been at for weeks.

Probably booking him on the January Singapore card. Hopefully he stays at 145.

Melendez should arguably be the lightweight champ right now. Him and Aoki are Kawajiri's only losses in the last 5 years.

I hope he does better than "kid" Yamamoto did after all the hype to bring him in. Always loved watching crusher fight, and the war with Alvarez made me a fan for life

There wasn't much hype for Kid by the time he got signed. same with Gomi as they were both clearly past it.

Gomi is/was still a great fighter, he was literally the Wanderlei Silva of the LW division in pride. Same with "Kid" for K-1 Heros. When they got signed, it was huge, especially to us hardcore fans that have been waiting for that day. That's like saying Rampage wouldn't be hyped to fight for Bellator because he isn't as good as he once was...Oh yeah, that's right...He's got a Main Event fight on a PPV next week. Show the greats some respect.

Yeah hyped to see them finally fight in the UFC but no one thought they were going to make a splash in the division and make a run for the title.

And no, no one was hyped to see shot Rampage fight Tito.

Kawajiri wants to fight Cub. He might get his wish. Cub's been complaining on Twitter off and on since August that he doesn't have a fight lined up. I think they should fight Dec. 28. Winner fights the winner of Mendes/Lentz for a title shot after the Aldo/Lamas fight.

I like it a lot ... but I think the UFC's got a hard-on for him on the Singapore card in Jan 4th, no biggie, Dec 28th card is already stacking up nicely ... also, not a big difference, still could work :)

Agreed. If they did it in Singapore on the 4th, I think the timing would still probably work out okay. Rumor has it that the absolute earliest Aldo is able to fight is on the Super Bowl card. Perhaps the winner of Lentz/Mendes would get an immediate shot if the winner of Aldo/Lamas is healthy and ready to go.
