Back and forth fight, Camargo seems more dangerous on the ground, almost getting a triangle choke in the first round. Palhares starts lighting him up standing, with punches and well-placed knees. Palhares pulled guard like two or three times trying a guillotine, but couldn't get it. In the middle of second round, Palhares survive a ankle lock and Camargo gasses. They trade big punches after that. Palhares technique is better. He finishes the fight with a barrage of knees to the body and punches.

Camargo lost, but he's actually pretty good, he's definetly better than his record shows.

Amaury Jr vs. Denilson Silva: another close fight, there was no clear winner in the first two rounds. Amaury used his bigger reach well, making Silva a little uncomfortable on his feet. Amaury also seem to have more power in his punches, but Silva got lots of takedowns. Once the fight got to ground nothing much happenned. The third round was pretty much domination by Silva with a takedown and some ground and pound.

Reinaldo Duarte vs. Fabricio Batista: opponent change for Duarte. despite having a terrible record, Batista is a decent fighter. he used lot of kicks to keep Duarte at bay, but Duarte is just too active, being the agressor for the most part. during a scramble on the ground, Batista got a armbar and almost finishes the fight. Duarte somehow got out, and got Batista in a arm triangle. Batista was about to tap when the round ended. In the second, Duarte got a takedown, got Batista's back and started unleashing punches... and then... I think Batista just quit, shouting to the ref to end the fight. Duarte was not pleased with that. BUT the official decision was TKO due to strikes. not sure why.

Leo Leite vs. Diosman de Jesus: Leite, a decorated judoka and BJJ world champion, got easy takedowns on the beginning of each round, and put a grappling clinic plus ground'n pound to win a clear cut decision. Leite isn't young, but I was very impressed, he will be big in the brazilian MMA scene in no time. just need more work on his cardio.

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 2 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 20th with 2 others

I was surprised to see Leite being such an underdog. Even if they didn't hear about his accomplishments, people should realize that those several dozens of male Gracies wouldn't let their cousin date somebody who wouldn't know how to fight, haha.

Geraldo de Freitas vs. Dony Matos: complete domination from Freitas, he was better in every aspect of the game. By the end of round 2, Matos finally gets a takedown... and then got choked. great fight by Freitas.

@joe lol! good reasoning.

Thiago Grilo vs. Paulo de Souza: Grilo stars very agressively in a flurry of punches, but gets taken down, spending almost the entire first round trying to survive with Souza on his back. In the second, Grilo is way more cautious, satying in the outside, while Souza gets a bad case of Anderson Silvitis, boasting, hanging his hands low, probably trying to get Grilo to approach for another takedown... it doesn't work, and he gets jabbed in the face a lot. The third starts with more of the same, but Grilo actually shoots for the takedown and spends the rest of the round ground and pounding. Clear decision in favor of Thiago Grilo.

Fávio Mocotó vs. Carlos Alexandre; opponent change for the karateka Mocotó. both start active in the striking game, Mocotó catches a body kick by Alexandre and takes him down, but Alexandre quickly gets his legs around Mocotó's neck and this is it.

Luis Philipe vs. Bira Lima: pretty cautious first round from both fighters, it seems that Philipe's gameplan was to get this fight to the ground ASAP, so he clinched a lot, trying to work on a single leg... couldn't get it and made it kinda boring. second round, Philipe tried to strike more and actually got some nice shots on Lima, who despite being bigger, looked faster, but couldn't really connect anything worth notice. On the third round, Philipe was tired and Lima clearly won the round with some nasty body kicks. Philipe wins the (somewhat questionable) decision and will fight against Armando Sixel for the Bitetti Combat LHW belt. If Philipe fights like he did tonight, he doesn't stand a chance.

I think those 4 prelimnary fights actually hapenned but wasn't televised. not sure about this though. I'll get the results tomorrow if they did happen.
