As for Condit, I'd love to see him fight Brown, but I think they'll put him against Saffiedine. Brown is too low in the rankings for Condit, but there aren't many other options.

Another possibility might be to offer Matt Brown to Nick Diaz, not that I'd think that would tempt Nick. He'd have nothing to gain and everything to lose. But it would still be a fight guaranteed to generate fireworks.

Besides, why derail Brown when he's on his nice run? Brown and Lawler are hovering around the #10 slot ranking and to give him the #3 man would risk over-matching him. Brown and Lawler are both good strikers and it is the natural, obvious match to make, at this moment. Wait another fight and it might not make sense anymore.
Let both Brown and Lawler try to inch up another rung, if they can. Don't derail them by rushing or hurrying them along.
Matt Brown vs. Nick Diaz might also produce the war you're looking for. Might that appease your bloodlust?

As for Brown's next fight, I'm guessing it is going to be Ellenberger, but I think Ellenberger should fight Story and give Brown a big challenge in Condit.
