What's your pound-for-pound rankings if Silva's 4th?

The normal rankings are for records...P4P is who would win in any fight, overall the greatest.

So yes, Anderson will still be ahead of GSP...because if they did fight GSP would get smashed.

Mine haven't changed except for Weidman's entry right above Silva.

I believe the best Anderson Silva is better than the best GSP. While Weidman's knockout was still extremely impressive, Anderson would have beat Weidman had he been actively trying to win rather then basically toying with his opponent.Silva didn't give himself a chance to mount an opposition before Weidman took advantage of his showboating antics.
I place Jones in the top spot because he has beaten more impressive competition then Silva and in a much tougher weight class.

You can make all the excuses you want for Anderson. Clowning is what Anderson does, it's a tactic. For me P4P is all about division dominence and with that KO he lost his #1 ranking at MW and his #1 P4P status. Cause you can't claim to be the best today when you got knocked out yesterday. You fall fast in P4P rankings unlike divisional rankings. Once I update Weidman will enter P4P in the top 5 ahead of Silva. All time rankings Anderson is still #1.

Please explain how you have Frankie Edgar before Anderson Silva on pound-for-pound?

I have Silva as 3 now on the current list. Because even though he's my favorite fighter, I can't in good conscience put him above GSP and Jones when he doesn't have a title.

All time P4P. Still #1 though.

This is what I don't get. Both Silva and Weidman are 185 and most if not all have Weidman > Silva on their MW rankings yet they refuse to put Weidman above Silva on P4P. P4P is a hypothetical ranking of what happens if they were the same size. Well Weidman and Silva are the same size and Weidman won. So right now if Weidman > Silva at MW then Weidman is > Silva P4P.

Current P4P is not some all time rankings. If two fighters are the same size and fought then there is no hypotheticle about it we know who is better during this snapshot of time.

I had the same conundrum. And just as I was about to justify sticking Weidman above Silva on the P4P list, I said "hey Silva fought outside his weightclass, that's gotta count for something"

So that's my reason.

I don't see how anyone could put Weidman above Silva on P4P. Let the man defend the belt a few times before even considering that. I think I'd still put Silva above GSP. Considering they both now have similar losses to Ray Longo underdogs, it doesn't do much to change rankings between them at the moment. If Silva loses in the rematch, or to anyone else for that matter, I'll drop him below GSP. Might actually put Aldo at #1 and Jones at #2 for now.

Jon Jones has no losses (legit losses) and has ran through the 205 pound weight class like a hot knife through butter. He has made world class fighters look ordinary. He has 5 title defenses and about to be 6.

GSP is the most dominant champion in UFC history. He's avenged both his losses in devastating fashion. He has 8 straight successful title defenses in which none of those fights were even close. He's fought more highly ranked opponents then any of the other champions. The guy doesn't even lose rounds much less fights. I get that p4p rankings are just opinion but logic would tell you that GSP is 1 and Jones is 2.
