Alves is injured again geez I was kind of looking forward to that fight. I am rooting for Brown here, in my opinion Pyle lost his last fight in my opinion and I think Brown has been on too much of a good streak to be stopped right now.

Am I the only person that finds this fight much more interesting. It's still a helluva fight. Also, it makes much more sense for both guys.

Pyle is riding a nice 4 fight win streak.
Brown is currently on a 5 fight win streak.

Both these guys have been on quite the role. When mullet power meets a man that just doesn't give a ****, it will be a masterpiece.

I like this matchup because both fighters have been active unlike Alves. Brown's best chance is to clip Pyle early. Pyle is very underrated and a dangerous opponent also a great finisher as is Brown should be an exciting fight.

Story rocked him bad pretty early in the first in their bout. I think Brown will do the same except pyle won't recover.

Brown also has one of the worst fighter IQ's, but as of late not so much.

@sreimuth he had one of the worst fighter IQ's but you could also attribute that to his defensive submission skills  and the caliber of ground fighters like Chris Lytle, Ricardo Almeida, and Dong Hyun Kim.  I think it was just he was in there with guys that ground wise were on a whole different level than him.  it shouldn;t brand him as having one of the worst fighters IQ though.

I wouldn't say Brown has bad fight IQ. He just likes putting on entertaining fights and that has gotten him in trouble in some of his past fights. That's why I like Matt Brown though because he leaves it all in the cage no matter what.

Love this fight. If Pyle is smart... he scores a takedown and subs Brown.

I like Pyle big in this fight.  He technically out classes Brown in every aspect of the game.

Brown could catch him with a hot one and swarm for sure, but I think Pyle is too savvy a veteran.  He'll stay smart and patient, and use Brown's aggression against him.

better in every aspect? I disagree. I think Brown has a better clinch game both technically and strength wise. Also think there striking is near even. Think Pyle is more technical striker but brown has more power and aggression.  I think despite Pyle being more technical I believe brown is more likely to win the striking. I think Brown is going to land the harder shots on the feet and control and land big shots in the clinch. Brown has some of the best clinch work in the welter weight division. He is also huge for a welter weight.

Pyle will definitely have to be very careful standing with Brown for sure.  I just think he'll be smart enough to avoid Brown's reckless attacks, and eventually get it to the ground where he can exploit Brown's suspect submission defense.

I'm also not sure Brown is a huge welterweight.  He's always seemed average sized at best to me.  I could be wrong.

I am not sure he can get Brown down though. Brown has very good take down defense. He is extremely good in the clinch which is how Pyle would attempt to get him down which I find unlikely. Think Brown has a serous advantage in the clinch.  Brown a lot let reckless and more technical recently. He throws big shots but does a fair job avoiding them as well. He deff vastly improved in recent years.  Also Brown has not been submitted in 4 years and trains with very good jujistu instructors. He much better at jujistu now then he was back a few years ago.

Brown is deff a huge Welter weight. He nearly the same size as rich Franklin who a large middle weight. Brown smaller but he surprisingly close in size.
