Gus is gonna get his ground game tested in this one. I do believe Bones can outstrike him, but i dont think he will try. 4th round submission after some brutal GnP with elbows

I think Gus can outstrike Jones . But I see Jones taking it to the ground and bloodying him up with elbows till its stopped. I Hope Gus wins but I dont see him KOing Jones and he will lose the grappling so his only chance is to dance around Condit/Rory style and point it out .

Remember how Jones was supposed to stay away from trying to wrestle Chael? Yeah neither do I. Bones might just stand with Gus to prove a point and because well he can.

I'm hotly anticipating the Jones vs. Gustaffson but the only bad thing is how many times Goldberg and Rogan will say reach during it and hearing the promos. Literally the whole point of the promos so far have basically been Alexander Gustaffson has a chance to beat Jon Jones because he's tall and has long arms and how great Jon is.

If it were a kickboxing match I'd give Gustafsson a real shot, but with the ground game Gustafsson has little more than a striker's chance.

Pretty much everything Gustaffson does is overrated, really. I see Jones winning the stand-up as much as he'd dominate the ground.
Anyway, I am rooting for Gustaffson. Not because I dislike Jones, but because the ****storm that would follow his victory would be incredibly funny.

In kickboxing there's no clinch, no elbows, no 4oz gloves. Consider Jones has insane elbows, a masterful clinch and Gustaff is very prone to cuts which is much easier with 4oz gloves even if it stays standing it's not ******* "kickboxing" @AnAlias
Also that cage is ******* huge compared to a ring and the dynamics of being against a cage rather than ropes is huge, which we can assume it'll most likely be Gustaff's back to the cage not Jones. Man...MMA striking and "kickboxing" aren't as comparable as people think neither is Muay Thai, I wish Joe Rogan would just stop saying it because now everyone parrots it.

Forget kickboxing, in PRIDE FC Jones would have gotten murdered, no elbows for him.

True, standing elbows weren't allowed in Pride either were they? He might have to actually develop some punches.

Jones' ground and pound is unique in the sense that it relies heavily on wrist/arm control in order to succeed. His work from his opponent's guard is simply sublime, and every time he defends a sweep attempt or his opponent tries to break his posture he lands a clean elbow. The fact that it wouldn't be allowed in Pride doesn't make it any less impressive, IMHO.
