@michigan, you've got to like the Duff man

@swickotine, when I saw pictures it looked bad, but I watched the video later and he looked better than I initially thought. I do thinking adding on about 10 pounds of muscle was a bad idea for him, Schuab's biggest advantage in this fight is his speed imo, and Nog should have done anything he could to negate that.

Hopefully! I'd love to see a classic Nogueira comeback performance, but I'd rather see him go in and get the job done quickly. My stomach gets empty just thinking about this fight, I can't imagine how I'm going to feel during the fight.

Prediction: wrong Schaub   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 1

Schaub by TKO in Round 1, and I say that with all due respect to Big Nog. I feel like this fight could go either way, but I believe Schaub is very dangerous right now, because he is improving at a high rate every fight. Obviously Nog is the more well rounded and experienced fighter, and could finish Schaub in any fashion, but it's hard for me to bet against momentum and unpredictability.

a legend coming off a log layoff, injuries..going up against the fast rising young fighter. nog does appear to be in good shape, but i say he survives a tough first rd, and schaub finishes it in the 2nd.

Prediction: wrong Schaub   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 2

Schaub's hands are too heavy and Nog has taken too much punishment over the years to withstand the onslaught.

It hurts me picking against Nog but i believe the odds don't lie on this one. Schaub is highly motivated, improves his game in several different "elite" gyms and has physical advantages over Nog. Unless Minotauro gets this to the ground he'll either get picked apart from a safe distance or knocked out somewhen in the 2nd or 3rd. Schaub TKO 2.

Prediction: correct Nogueira   wrong Submission   wrong Round 2

I don't think Nogueira has the ability to take much punishment at all these days. Schaub could certainly pick him apart and end this with strikes. However I don't know that Schaub will be able to defend submissions IF he gets put on his back. Nogueira might not be able to get it there, and he might come in looking old and slow, but I'll hold out hope for a little magic down in Rio.

I have NEVER been more happy about getting a fight pick wrong in MY whole LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This should prove to these young prospects to be careful who you call out. Shaub thought he was gonna get a title shot after he beat Big Nog. Likewise Ryan Bader called out Tito, a fighter on the doorstep of retirement, for what everybody thought was an easy win, and we all know how that turned out.

I love it.
