Mendes is excellent and i believe the best in his weight class, he will beat Yahya and then beat Aldo.

Can't wait to see this fight. You really think it'll be boring Mino? Yahya is a beast on the ground so I expect Mendes to keep it standing and showcase his constantly improving hands. Even if it hits the ground it will not be boring, it'll be a technical battle between a great wrestler and a great BJJ guy.

yahya has beaten some good people and he has won by alot of chokes. this might be a good chance  for that 3 star upset win ribbon. omigawa almost had a choke on mendes. i'll say yahya sinks one in. +425.

i think mendes will be surprised on his feet in the first and make the mistake of taking it to the ground in the second.

@danno, you're probably right, I bet this fight is primarily on the feet. However, Mendes has never failed to put me to sleep, other than against Omigawa, but that was just because Omigawa is awesome.

I'd love it if Yahya pulls off a sub, but it's unlikely. Mendes by UD.

Mendes will probably look to try out more of his striking with more confidence in this fight. All he really needs to worry about is take down defense off a clinch, and I believe he's far too good of a wrestler to let that happen.

I really like Mendes, but am really leaning towards Yahya in this fight...I think Mendes made a mistake in not waiting a month for a title shot and its gonna back fire here
