Just like with the Hamill/Gustafsson fight, Akiyama neglects his judo like Hamill neglects his wrestling, and also, there's a question whether he'd be able to get the takedown anyway.

@minotauro11: Actually you're wrong about the 3 in a row part. A lot of fighters have survived losing 3 in a row: Keith Jardine did (then he did get cut after losing 4 straight), Dan Hardy did, and even Matt Brown did, for heaven's sake.
4 losses in a row, however, has been fatal every single time - at least in the Dana White era anyway.
I'm guessing that if Akiyama does lose (and I think he will), he will be issued an ultimatum: Either go down to 170, or he will get cut.
