Carvalho is 15-5 but he's 10-0 in Canada. Impressive but it'll be 10-1 when he faces the very underrated Darren Elkins.

Carvalho's fight against Damm was a close one from what I remember it could've gone either way. Elkins looked damn good against Siler, He dominated him. I expect Carvalho to be resilient in the first, but after that Elkins will use that wrestling to wear him out.

Elkins beat 4 middle of the road featherweights by laying on top of them for 15 minutes. His biggest win is against Diego Brandao. That shouldn't get you a top opponent, especially in this stacked division

I will give Elkins props for his top game on the ground, but I don't think he has fought against an opponent with such a good ground game as Carvalho. I also agree on Elkins got a very good chin, but Carvalho surely got the striking game to put people asleep.

I have to admit that im a little bit "coloured" in this fight, but really hopes that Carvalho get this or atleast takes Elkins in to a REAL fight without all that boring wrestling grinding. If you must grind your opponents every time for 15 minutes, then atleast do it impressively ;)

This is an interesting match up and a tough one to pick. Thought the odds would be alot closer.

Carvalho's standup is far superior to Elkins. Carvalho should use his hands to setup leg kicks and attack that lead leg of Elkins. Elkins wrestling/power is going to be how he wins this. Though, Carvalho has a pretty slick ground game.

I haven't been too impressed with Elkins like everyone else. I thought he lost to Omigawa, he outwrestled Zhang, almost got KO'd by Brandao, and outwrestled Siler (his best performance). No one can deny his wrestling.

Carvalho is definitely the best competition he's fought in the UFC thus far, but can Pato stop the takedown? And if he can't, will his ground game be sufficient enough? Carvalho tends to not work as much in the later rounds.

I think both guys have the ability to win and I feel this fight will be a gritty, tough performance for Elkins or a highlight victory for Carvalho. It may not have gotten that much hype, but I can't wait to see this one.

Not sold on Elkins yet and I think Carvalho is pretty underrated...I think this will go much like the Brandao fight for Elkins except he'll lose the first and second round

Elkins might have the single worst 5 fight win streak in the history of the UFC lol.

A judging robbery against Michihiro Omigawa, a decision against maybe the worst fighter in the history of the UFC's modern era to stay for more than 3 fights, a decision against a gassed out Diego Brandao in a fight where I had the first round scored 10-8 for Brandao (knocked him down like 3 times),the legit win vs Steven Siler and this referee robbery.
