Guedes nearly had a leglock with some 20 seconds left in the first round, but del Rio managed to get out.

Not sure how close it was, not as close as I wanted it to be! Just prior to that I thought del Rio might have got a TKO, a lot of unanswered punches with Guedes just turtling.

Well, del Rio was 6-5 with 2 submission losses (1 from a leglock) and Guedes was 2-0 with 2 submission wins (both from leglocks), so it seemed plausible that he would catch him. Unfortunately he didn't.

Del Rio is a Muay Thai guy. I missed the finish, but I think it was a combination of knees and a punch.
