@mino i hope you are right but remember he was "motivated" after he fought cote going in to the thales fight. He was "motivated" for maia. He was "motivated" for sonnen and pulled a great sub but he was losing that fight a lot.

A few things on that

First, I enjoyed the Cote fight, I'm not sure why it gets so much hate. He felt him out a lot, but they had some pretty good exchanges.

Second, yeah, idk about the Maia and Leites ****

Third, against Sonnen, he came out to fight. He usually has the 2 or 3 minutes feeling out period, but he just ran right out and tagged him right away. I think the broken rib did affect him, and he wanted that submission because Sonnen disrespected the Nogueira's, so he was almost pulling guard, and baiting Sonnen into being comfortable.

Fourth, I think Dana had a tough talk with him after the Maia fight, and he's got to know he can't do that **** again

That's what I think atleast.

I liked the cote fight also. I was saying that AFTER the cote fight he was motivated and then thales leites dancathon happened. The sonnen fight might be understandable in that regard but he was so close to losing a UD in that one.

Oh ok, my bad, sorry. I misread your post. I think the whole Maia thing was his way of disrespecting Maia (although I don't see how knocking him out wouldn't have gotten the message across), I think he did it because Maia wanted to fight him even though they trained together.

I think Okami has a very solid chance in this fight. He was getting outclassed in his fight with Silva before he won, but I think he's improved. His submission defense is very good, and obviously his wrestling is pretty strong, so he could be a threat. I think Silva knocks him out at some point though.
