@Stealingfire completely picked apart? you gotta be kidding me, right? GSP may have landed more punches but it was very close (the striking in the standing), everyone who has watched Diaz fight knows he gets hit a lot because he walks straight to his opponents, GSP striking was as his usual get in get out, and he did it pretty well, but picked apart Diaz? I didn't see that, on a side note only Jake Shiled has landed more punches on GSP than Diaz
Edit: the 3rd round was the closest but GSP clearly won all 5 rds

All the people complaining about the "punch" thrown after the bell. Are you honestly of the belief that Nick Diaz couldn't hit GSP while he was walking away with his hands down if he wanted to? That's just Diaz being Diaz...

The punch wasn't intended to land. The whole point of me "defending" him is that if he wanted to punch GSP while he was walking away with his hands down...he would have simply punched him in his face. He wouldn't have whiffed by like 2 feet. Ok. 50 - 45... humped!

Right Cthulhu because if GSP was the one who threw a punch at Diaz after the horn you would defend GSP just the same. *********. Did Diaz try to hit him no probably not but it's still a very juvenile thing to do.

I didn't say it wasn't juvenile. I've already stated that I thought both guys put on a pretty boring performance. If GSP "threw a punch" that missed by 3 feet after the bell I'd have not cared. Ya know how much that affected the outcome of the fight? Not at all. I don't dislike GSP, people seem to have the wrong idea there. I'm just a little bored of watching him nowadays with the style he's using. The guy was an absolute monster when he first broke into the UFC, and ever since he's had the belt he's content to grind out decisions.

I would honestly feel the same way about all fighters. A thrown punch after the bell if it doesn't land warrants exactly what Yves gave him, a warning that if it occurred again he was going to DQ him. Seeing people call him ghetto trash etc. is slightly annoying. He's just a misunderstood dude that had a tough childhood and obviously has anxiety and social problems.

Didn't Nate have the same exact up bringing? He shows up to everything he's supposed to and doesn't pull the woe is me card for every little thing that goes wrong in his life. You're just making excuses for Nick. I've said it before Nick should learn something from his team around him. His brother got a title shot by winning fights not running his mouth same with Shields and now Gil. Nick is 29 years old it's time to be a big boy and start looking in the mirror for why he's not as successful as he wants to be.

I don't get all this side-babble. Is it just a distraction against the issue at hand? Diaz got schooled by GSP. End of story. All the nonsense, all the excuses, all the *********. Class won over ass...and I'm happy.
You can give this thumbs down all day long, and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. It doesn't change the fact that Diaz lost. So give me a million thumbs down, waste your time for all I care.
