Apparently Aldo has stated that if he beats Frankie he's open to a move to 155. Would he be as dominant at 155 as he would 145? Does he really want to join the deepest shark tank in the UFC? What say yooou?

I'm probably the only one who feels this way, But besides occasional superfights I want dominant champs to stay put in the division they would have the most success.

If Aldo did go to LW I think he would be top 10 easily but not top 5.

I don't know if he would be as dominant or not, but he is a beast so it wouldn't surprise me. Could be some pretty interesting match ups for him though at 155.

This would be the only reason I'd like to see Nate beat Benson on the 8th a Nate Diaz vs Jose Aldo title fight would be insane!

I don't know about this one ... he said that a win over someone who "ruled the 155 division for a while" would indicate that he's ready for the move ...

But if you think about it for a bit, that someone is a guy who didn't cut weight for 155 (therefore better suited to fight at 145), and the whole "ruled" part was more didn't lose to Maynard because he couldn't finish him (which I attribute more to Maynard's lack of killer instinct than Frankie's "rule") and lost to Henderson because he was too big for him and not because Bendo was the better fighter (this isn't a knock on Frankie, just on his legitimacy as an indication for a move to 155, because Frankie did show, that you can have all the heart and skill in the world, but if you're THAT undersized you will eventually get beat and not necessarily by a better fighter).

Not saying if he should or shouldn't move, just saying that the Edgar fight shouldn't be his only indication.

If he totally demolishes Frankie ... well that's another story all together ...

Aldo has said in the past that he will move up when the weight cut gets too hard. He's still very young, probably won't be a problem for a while.

I hope Aldo stays put, I want to see him go on an Anderson Silva title defence run. Same for JDS. BRASIL!

Aldo is the only fighter where I would pick him over anyone in the weight class right above. I'd love to see him move up within the next three potential title defenses.

If Aldo moves to lightweight this means that KZ would be the featherweight champion then.

I would actually like to see Jose go up to 155 but he should fight 2 or 3 more times at 145. There are still some contenders who deserve a shot. Like KZ, Lamas maybe Koch, Siver or Bermudez.

It's about time.  The last two or three weigh-ins he looked like he was perpetually two seconds away from passing out.  He has reached his threshold as far as cutting down to 145 is concerned.  Or maybe he needs some of Mike Dolce's magic.

I think this is great news.  Really great news.  Just consider these extremely possible possibilities.

Eddie Alvarez is talking with the UFC.  He just might come over.

Strkieforce will fold after its final, farewell event on January 12.  Freeing up Gilbert Melendez to come on over.

Diego Sanchez is talking to Gomi about a fight.  So Diego is now LW.

BJ Penn will have a tough fight this coming December 8 with Rory MacDonald.  We are all rooting for BJ to return to LW, win or lose.

Now, Jose Aldo is considering a possible move to LW, if he beats Frankie Edgar.  But I will go out on a limb and say that Frankie will be an extremely tough fight for Jose.  Frankie has the speed, stamina and tenacity to give Jose the fight of his life.  If Frankie was smart enough to stay OUT of the pocket against BJ Penn, he will be too smart to stand and bang with Jose.  He will use his patented hit and run, bob and weave, stick and jab guerilla warfare style of flurry and get out tactics.

Jose had better be ready because Frankie will be for real.  He's no joke and the W for Jose will be extremely hard-won and will probably go to a decision.  Maybe a split decision.  I'm going with Aldo to win the fight but it will be the fight of his life.

The UFC LW Shark Tank just keeps getting more and more Great Whites.

Yeah, the LW division in 2013 is going to look like gilbert melendez vs eddie alvarez and there's also diego sanchez and anthony pettis to think about. I don't see Gomi being a problem for Diego
