"Wladimir, the Klitschkos, they're amazing. I like to watch them fight, especially Wladimir, but it's kind of boring. They are really good at what they do, but they are very careful. They don't go to the fight to finish the fight. They stay there in that safe strategy all the time. It's not the Mike Tyson time. Guys don't finish fights." - Junior Dos Santos

in a story by ESPN, the UFC Heavyweight Champion Says he can knock out the Boxing Heavyweight Champion.

What do you guys think? Do you agree, or is JDS overstepping it?

Another question who do you think in that anyone UFC, could beat boxing champions of today?

This is pretty much the same argument as when Nick was going to roll with Braulio.

A guy who's good at BJJ in MMA will get trounced by a guy like Estima who has solely devoted his life to Jiu-Jitsu.

Same with boxing if you ask me. JDS is a great boxer but he's never fought anyone who has been even remotely close to the level of hands that he possesses so I can only imagine that if he was to face a far greater boxer than him in Wladimir, he would get convincingly beaten. Regardless of his skill, Wladimir's reach alone would give Junior a world of problems.

And can any of the high level boxers beat the champs in boxing? Probably not.. If I had to pick somebody I think everyone would agree that Anderson has to be the one you'd put your money on. Especially considering the division he'd be fighting in (Cruiserweight) is arguably the weakest in boxing.

remember when the Nick Diaz and Jeff Lacy were support to fight in a boxing match? it could be similar to that.

although Wlad's chin has been called to question a couple of times, and JDS has the power to turn his chin.

I think if any MMA fighter could stand a chance against world class pro boxers it would be JDS, he has the power to knock out anyone on the planet. If you were to give him a few months to train just straight boxing, everything from combos to footwork to head movement then I would give him more of a chance then most.

JDS would get his ass whooped by Chris Arreola and probably by the Brazilian boxing team, nevermind Vlad.

Big fan of JDS but he would only have a punchers chance imo....that said who didn't just had a punchers chance in the last 10 fights of the Klitshko bros ?

The Klitscho brothers are dominant during a period of time when boxing is pretty much dead, and they refuse to fight each other. I could see JDS knocking him out.

Of course he can Knock him out, Junior dos Santos possesses the power to knock any man out in my opinion. I also believe Klitschko could knock out Junior. Just a matter of who would land the big shot first.

There was a thread on this the other day and I still stand by my opinion that JDS would get worked by the Klitschkos in a straight boxing fight

JDS is delusional if he really thinks he could beat the Klitschkos in boxing. Same goes for Overeem. JDS says the Klitschkos don't KO anyone. I don't know what Klitschkos he's been watching, but he's dead wrong.

Wladimir Klitschko: (Boxing record) 58-3, 51 KOs equating to an 87.9% KO rate, all 3 losses were stoppages

Vitali Klitschko: (Boxing record) 45-2, 41 KOs equating to a 91.1% KO rate, 1 loss came due to a torn rotator cuff in which Klitschko had a significant lead on all scorecards and the other was a doctor stoppage in which Klitscko sustained a cut but was ahead on all judges scorecards.

JDS: (MMA record) 15-1, 13 KOs equating to an 86.7% KO rate, loss was via submission

Both Klitschko brothers have better KO percentages, over a longer career, in a sport that has fewer 1-punch KOs.

All JDS does in MMA is box. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed that, but he rarely throws any kind of kick, nor does he rely on wrestling or jiu jitsu. The guy's made himself the HW champion in UFC strictly with boxing and footwork. Give him a nice pair of 18 ounce gloves that he can really let his hands go in without fear of breaking them and he may seriously hurt someone.

Zarog, good point. Although you need to equate in which round these happen in. Well, what time, would be more accurate seeing as MMA has 5min rounds. I'm sure JDS ko's people way quicker. Although I dont think that holds much merit, because most fighters dont have high level striking.

I'm gonna stand by what Zarog and Anik say.
MMA boxing isn't like regular boxing. JDS would get overwhelmed by either of the Klitschkos, There are many reasons why this is true, you just need to know a little bit of the sport to find out.
