I like this promotional idea, I just don't think the UFC is doing a very good job with it.

Just seems dull to me.

i imagine if they did stuff other than their quotes thus far theyd have to check with the fighters if its ok to say every day, and you dont need the hassel mid training camp

Damn, does Dana look like **** or what?

Anyway, I kinda like this gimmick actually with the comic strip.  It's a unique way to help sell a fight.  Yeah, it'd be nice to see their thought bubbles say something we haven't already heard, but I think it's passable the way it is.

That said, hopefully this is a one and done deal, I don't think I'd be rushing to the local comic book store for a copy of "UFC: The Comic" for every single Main Event they do.   Although it'd be funny to see "UFC: The Comic #5: Might Mouse Battles the Evil Uncle Creepy!"

this is awesome. Anik how old are you? These comics are in the syle of late 80s early 90s joints like batman and stuff from back in the day. Not exactly shakespeare on every page but i like it. A cat is a fine thing if you don't expect it to be a dog. Think about it.

I read every single Calvin and Hobbes comic ever (******* love it), I read some Garfield comic books and I've read some manga issues (Shonen Jump, some Naruto books and some Full Metal Alchemist books) but this was all before I turned 12 so maybe I've grown out of them.

And lol at the Chanel Sonnen.

It is everything. Masterful work. But Comics and comic books are not the same art form at all. It looks like comic books and graphic novels are something that you don't take part in.

I always liked Calvin and Hobbes too as a kid.  One of the absolute greatest strips ever.

The only one I still read anymore is Pearls Before Swine, easily the most cynical and dark daily strip in the papers today.  And thus, I love it!

right on buffalo about comics and comic books being different.

I think you can guess what comic books i used to read (>>> ) that and 2000ad/judge dread.
my favourite comic was always Nemi.

Obviously you wouldnt hype a fight on this alone, but its a nice extra, i think they could have some fun with uncle creepy as a super villan.

I remember when i was on sherdog kids used to post these fan made manga style comics about mma. They were awesome. Whoever drew them had a unique way of cariacaturing each fighter he featured.

Does anyone know what i'm talking about?
