Canadians booing him?? Their love and respect for him is far more profound than how he wins. They love how he carries himself, his modesty, how he represent MMA and Canada, his respect for all his opponents, his commitment to his training, his completeness as a martial artist, and many, many other virtues.
Canada loves GSP just like they loved Wayne Gretzky. He's a national idol. The way Brazil loved Pele. The way America loved Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle. It goes beyond sports. They love the man and what he stands for, not just the athlete.
