He beats a great fighter in Alan Belcher, so he goes against Leben and gets beat in an epic comeback. Ok, guess we should give him a fight to help him get on the right path again. Oh Bisping? Ok. Let's help him prevent a 2 loss streak, so we'll give him Vitor freakin' Belfort. Oh ok. He's going down to welterweight, let's give him Jake Shields, former title challenger. Oh ok, he has 4 losses in a row but we'll keep him 'cause he's fighting good competition. Let's give him Thiago Alves.

Alves should TKO him with ease, sorry Sexyama fans.I think Hardy/Akiyama would have made sense, loser leaves.

I cant explain my love for Alves without sounding homosexual, but I really hope one of them gets injured, prefably Akiyama, so this fight doesn't happen, even though it would be sick. Akiyama's treatment is great/awful. They continue to keep him relevant with super hard match ups but are almost certainly giving him a match thats far too hard for him at the moment, although one he could win if he had more form. Because of Akiyamas constant hunger to fight in all these incredibly hard match ups I wont be sad if Alves loses, because he should be rewarded for the fights he's had.

@anik I don't actually feel that fighters should be fired for losing consecutive fights. It's absurd to expect everyone to win frequently, and mathematically unsound. Akiyama is fun and I want to see him fight. Peroiod.
