All of them are great fighters, but these are my personal reasons and not so much a reflection of their skills in fighting.

Because he was/is/will still be the one and only.

2
- Nick Diaz
- 26-10-0, 2 NC

I truly believe the hate for Nick comes from misunderstood interviews and the media playing off his tendency to not care. Yes he has done a few... er... "dumb" things in the past caught on camera... but off camera he's as cool as anyone else and a fiercely loyal friend. He does say a lot of crazy stuff but not anything other fighters don't actually think about, they just know when to filter it out for their image and etc. I like that about Nick and some other fighters and I like that in general about people, the ones that speak real, honest, and genuine, true to themselves, and not the manicured, politically correct, agent/manager coached, cookie cutter types.

- Dan Henderson

He's just cool. Always chill, down to earth, relaxed and from what I hear, actually pretty damn funny. The kind of person you want to have as your dad or even an uncle.

4
- BJ Penn
- "The Prodigy"
- 16-14-2
-
Genetically gifted with a crazy personality, another "true" and "genuine" fighter that doesn't always say the correct thing or come across coached.

5
- Cain Velasquez

Something about this demeanor. Seems like a quite, shy, but cool, hardworking dude that will always be there for you as a friend. The not so charismatic personality which the UFC and the media seems to hope was there more often, is probably the result of his down to earth nature and why I like him.
