Prediction: correct Diaz   wrong Submission   wrong Round 3

I think Diaz takes this one. I think they will stand and trade punches at the beginning of the fight and diaz will get hit with a good one and then take it to the ground and submit him via some kinda choke.

Prediction: correct Diaz   wrong Submission   wrong Round 2

This fight is completely decided by how Diaz approaches it. If he takes it to the ground it will be an easy night. If he tries to stand and KO Daley he will be the one motionless on the floor. We saw what happened when Kampmann tried to bang with Daley, and Kampmann is just as technical if not more technical then Diaz and was known to have a hell of a chin. Nobody in WW can take a Daley shot clean.

I agree with @Danno, if Diaz fights smart and takes it to the ground, the fight is his.  I just think it's going to take a little longer: Diaz sub 4th round.

Hopefully Diaz brought his stradegy and not his attitude.

Daley will run out of gas, and Diaz will sub him. Fingers crossed for an embarrassing double ko here.

It's gonna take a while for diaz's pitter-patter punching style to wear him down, But He will stop him in the third.

I dont see how you guys can take Daley other then not liking Diaz. Daley has a 5% chance of winning by flash knockout on Diaz's titanium chin other then that the whole fight is Diaz.

Diaz will frustrate Daley by holding his own in the standup, eventually Daley will get careless and it will go to the ground, where Diaz will sub him.

Prediction: correct Diaz   wrong Decision

^^Wacky predictions there. All 5 finishes, 2 of which to end in championship rounds and 3 to end in normal final rounds.

Here's mine:

Not confident on any of them really. Can see Diaz/Daley going either way, and I'm very unsure of it being decision, with it being 5 rounds. Melendez is probably safest pick. I can see Aoki losing this.

When making predictions on major cards I always pick all fights. I feel like I am cheating if I don't. I just look at the two guys records, compare their wins, look at the where they train if I can find it, see if one of them is coming off a long layoff, if they tend to finish fights, or be finished in fights, then make a prediction. If it is a small card I will usually just pick the fights with people I know in them.

I only pick full cards for UFC. I pick the main card for Strikeforce, and the odd fight from other cards. I want my pick percentage to be a somewhat accurate representation of how much I know about MMA and also how well I'd do if I were betting. That's why I'm not happy picking fights with people I don't know.

Winnable fight for Daley. With the dynamite that Daley packs in his hands and his relatively tight technique, I wonder if this could be a stylistic challenge for Diaz, who doesn't have the best takedowns. The fight that I thought about the most when making my pick was Paul Daley vs Jorge Masvidal, recently from Shark Fights. Daley came away with the win, but it wasn't pretty. At best Masvidal gave it away late, and at worst Daley still deserved to lose the fight on some questionable judging. Daley was frustrated and stymied by Masvidal and I look at Diaz as being similar but superior (and larger). If Daley was too one-dimensional and couldn't figure out how to hit a home run on Masvidal, I don't think he'll be able to do it against Diaz.
