Probably because of what @kpro said...these contracts were signed a while ago with the tournament rules in place so to keep the tournament format they're doing the two semi-finals 3 round fights

@Kpro in the third mccall takes him down when he throws a knee, then demetrious stands up and mccall takes him down again (after some standup) with a clinch and transitioning to the back and lifting him up.

in the first McCall takes him down from the clinch and then tripping him after catching a kick (he didnt try any other TDs in the first)

McCall really impressed in the first fight and yes I did think he deserved the win.

I think it will be very close again though, now that MM knows what McCall is bringing to the table he's probably spent the majority of his camp working on stopping McCall's takedowns and getting up as his speed did give him a little edge in the standup.

Either way, it's gonna be another awesome fight and I think if it goes to decision we'll all be wishing for a 4th and 5th round.

I just said that because if you read the earlier comments in this thread, everyone who thinks Johnson will win has a couple of down thumbs and people who think he will lose have up thumbs. Also people act like the fist fight was a complete robbery. It was really close and I thought Johnson edged the first two rounds slightly. I think the last round which was more dominate erased peoples' memories of the first two close rounds. We gotta remember that fights are not scored as a whole but in rounds. If someone BARELY edges the first two and gets beaten handily in the last round, that person should still win a 29-28.

If someone dominates a round they should be given a 10-8 score. The way you broke down the fight in the last sentence it should be scored a draw. mccall was robbed. He was robbed of a 4th round that he earned with his 3rd round domination. He certainly had the momentum and very well could have sealed the deal in the 4th. It disgusts me that some idiot didn't know how to do his job and thats why the fight was ultimately ruled a draw after the fight.

@SoccerKick trust me, i want mccall to win as much as EVERYONE. I think he should've won the last one, I thought he won two rounds and the score would be 29-27.

but something's saying don't pick mccall, so i'm not gonna bet on him in the wagering game but i know i'll probably switch my pick back to mccall just because i like him so much.

That's weird because I feel better about McCall going into this fight. I know he has better stand up than what he showed in the last fight and the way he handled Johnson in the wrestling department made me a lot less worried for this fight. Yes Johnson might modify his gameplan, but you know McCall will modify his gameplan as well. I honestly think McCall might go for a few takedowns early on and put on the pressure with his slick ground game and GnP. I don't think I've seen anything to indicate that Johnson will ever sub any of the high caliber guys in the FlW division.

This is definitely a fight I will not wager on because it honestly could go either way, but of course I am going to favor McCall because I've been a big fan since he fought Jussier Da Silva in TPF.
