Prediction: correct Bermudez   wrong Submission   wrong Round 1

I'm going with the wrestler/gnp'er to submit the grappler.  The fight is about even to me.  Seemingly a TKO for Bermudez or a SUB for Garza but watching quite a bit of tape, Garza's neck placement in so many situations is worse than Bermudez's hand-placement/over-aggressive-gnp-openings.  7" is a significant reach advantage without a doubt if used properly but if/when Garza gets fancy with his striking, Bermudez has an awesome lead left hook that he leaps into and throws with vicious power for 145, and if he has his base in full guard he can easily power out and stack on an armbar attempt for better position and his posture and core strength in triangle attempts is solid.  Garza will have to get him off balance to get a sub imo, which he can definitely do, Brandao did.

These guys have 9 Zuffa fights combined and have never been past the second in any, a decision would surprise the **** out of me.  I like the 1 in 25 for a perfect odds on Bermudez to get a sub in the first, catching Garza expecting strikes.  I'm playing the lottery on this fight for by far the best risk/reward for 100 rather than the best odds for 100.  No whammies!

Bermudez has lost his last 3 fights and all by sub, Garza has all the advantages in his favor.

Not the Press Your Luck board.  Garza does not have that in his favor.

Garza could be on his back getting worked over this whole fight, but I'll see if he can land a big shot and rock Bermudez at some point.

It surprises me how many people view Bermudez 0-1 at 145 instead of 3-1.  Non-live TUF fights won't show up on fightfinder as they do not report results publicly via the NSAC within 48 hours, however, he won all three by stoppage (2TKO, 2TKO, 1SUB), at 145lbs leading up to facing Brandao on the finale and he'd never fought below 155 before those 4 fights so they are more important in context of picks than his fights at 155.  Not reporting results within 48 hours will qualify it as a sanctioned NSAC exhibition bout not a fight club.  Ignoring fights just because Sherdog or the UG doesn't list them isn't smart to do on a fantasy picks site, regardless of who wins tonight.  Just my opinion.  Really I just wanted to post another Whammy.

I'm not trying to change a mind, i think it's a coinflip and Garza is just as likely to win.  But I won't pass up an opportunity to post another whammy in this thread.

Yeah he looked like he had never wrestled in his life. There are guys like Ben Saunders that I love for being comfortable on their backs, then there are guys like Garza who should be defending takedowns! His ground game is not too great. I really thought Garza was going to win, I lost some money on him.

Um what does that have to do with Bermudez beating Garza?

You said who has Pablo Garza beat (wind blowing), I said who has Bermudez beat (louder wind blowing). What does that have to do with anything? Garza's biggest win prior to today is still bigger than Bermudez' biggest win prior to today.

Good try though.
