Terrible news for Lauzon and hope he makes a quick full recovery.

At the same time I am not surprised. Certain people manage to find trouble and even Joe Lauzon has said things like this about Dan.

And then Joe Lauzon injured his ankle rushing to the hospital and had to cancel a trip to Iraq!!!

This is a crazy story.

yes, if  it wasnt just mentioned that that ankle is just a sprain, i would have thought it was more serious.

That ankle looks seriously messed up. I wonder how bad the stab wound was.

It said in the report that the whole thing wasnt as big of a deal as was originally thought.  Ive been stabbed 3 times and non of them were actually serious.  im more worried about that ankle than a stab on the top of a shoulder.  Speedy recovery to both joe and dan.

I did my ankle in even worse than that from a quad accident without breaking it. Odds are he could have some sever ligament damage, which is even worse than a break. My ankle is permanently bigger than the other from that **** and half as flexible, making me very vulnerable to heel hooks and ankle locks. Hope Joe gets better, as fas a Dan goes he seems like a bit of a dumbass - shows what a good guy Joe is rushing to the hospital to see his brother whom he quit training with because of his work ethic and attitude.

Bk i know that feeling way too well, i ruined my left one snowboarding.  Ligament tears, chunks of bone torn out and a fracture.  I was in a cast for 3 months.  I dont even want to think what would happen if someone put me in a heel hook!!

You know you're on an MMA site when the biggest concern coming off an ankle injury is your heel hook defense. Ha!

@Piercedan - stabbed in 3 different incidents?  You guys have some serious stories...

Not getting stabbed is important to me.

First one was high school, left school some guys wanted to fight i tried to walk away they grabbed me tussle ensues stabbed in chest, didnt even need stitches.Second was when i worked as a bouncer, it was more of a slash on the top of my arm, bled good but wasnt deep.Third time was two indians attacked me at a train stn and i got stabbed in the back.
Its the blessing of looking strange and being of a sturdy build but not that big (5'11, 225 lbs about 14% body fat right now)
Im always that guy that the big guys want to fight with because i dont look that big at all but im not small enough to make them look like a bully, and im always the bigger guy the little guys with weapons start with because im not big enough to be intimidating.
Luckily ive always been very good at defending myself and I heal really well.
