George Hardwick, TKO, R1
Many people have voiced their displeasure with George Hardwick competing on this season of the Contender Series, not because he’s not worthy of a shot, but because most think he should be on the UFC roster right now. It’s hard to argue that point.
Moura vs Silva

Brazil’s regional circuit is home to many talented fighters that are to fight on this season on the Contender Series. One of those fighters is Eduarda Moura, who has been a pro since 2022 and is already 8-0. She started slowly by taking on low-level competition to build up her experience. She then bested journeyman Aline Sattelmayer in a big step-up in competition, which was her only decision in eight pro fights. She’s a very good grappler, holding four submission wins and two TKOs, showing she has some ground-and-pound. She has a good matchup against Janaina Silva, which should be an interesting one. Keep a look out for Moura.

Al-Selwady vs. Hardwick
I have a crush on George Hardwick at -350. He has a luxurious brainbuster and a zany clinch. Hardwick ought to nuzzle the cutman.
Renato Jr. vs. Aslan
I am with Ibo Aslan at -130. He has an excellent mountain bomb. Aslan will likely lock the cutman.
Moura vs. Silva
I lean towards Eduarda Moura at -165. She has an obscene indian deathlock. Moura will bake the foe.
Smotherman vs. Grigoriou
I am all about Cameron Smotherman at -175. He has a glamorous gogoplata and a nerdy spinning back elbow and also a distinctive finger lock. Smotherman ought to blend the unthinkable. Держи хвост пистолетом!

Sonmez
I like Amil after seeing that fight with Sewell tho I think here he ends up gassing later on after connecting on a few shots. He looked impressive in his other fights just don’t think Sonmez will be as open to get tagged. If it wasn’t for that Sewell fight and seeing how he almost let Sewell back in the fight I would be a lil higher on him. He let him back in the fight due to his careless pressure by getting hit with a slashing elbow and allowing him to take him down and lay on him after having him completely rocked in the first rd. The rest of the fight looked pretty sloppy after that and I don’t see Sonmez behaving in the same way.

Hardwick
Selwady is good, his grappling has seemed to improve a lot after his last two losses, just think Hardwick standup is better and is just a good on the ground. Selwady maybe stronger but his technique lacks when it comes to submissions and some aspects of grappling, I think Hardwick can exploit that if he gets taken down.
Renato Jr. vs. Aslan

They both do this so whatever but I’m not a fan of ppl ko’ing a can and celebrating like they just ko’d a top 10 guy as an underdog. It’s annoying asf… Given I think Aslan is alot more full of it than Jr, especially with ****** cardio. The only reason I’m giving it to jr is because I think he can survive rd 1 and maybe wake his slow poking ass up enough to do something when Aslan is clearly gassed. **** em both tho
Moura vs. Silva

The two fights I seen of Silvas she cried over lil **** against fighters who never even fought again after they fought her. She has this right that she likes to connect with and tries to have this kind of l Mike Tyson slip side to side to close distance, just don’t see it working against a bigger fighter with an even and probably a lil better skill set. Also trains with Almeida so that’s sumn too.
Smotherman vs. Grigoriou

I like smotherman here as long as he doesn’t get carried away. He can put him out forsure as long as he stays composed and stays away from careless mistakes. Grigoriou only path to victory his holding him down which smotherman seems to be a bit clueless on the ground. I think he can make it work tho.
