Sucks the UFC made absolutely no plays for Lazy King when he became a free agent earlier this year. They'd rather sign 5 shmucks off Contender Series instead.

@justbleedmma There is actually real talent coming out of the contender series. Some names that come to mind are Jailton almeida and the Bonfim brothers but i am sure that there are more i am just blanking right now.

From what I heard the UFC was interested but the Lazy King had no interest.

Why would he go to the UFC and fight killers at Lightweight?

When he could stay at the PFL, get a lucrative contract and then easily win a cool million.

It was the right choice. The UFC is over rated for fighters

That's exactly what I'm getting at.

If I'm Lazy King and I've been thinking about moving down to lightweight, and the PFL is paying, the decision was a no brainer.

He could hang in the PFL for 2 seasons, potentially win 2 million dollars, and then go to the UFC if he wants. He will only build his brand even more over that time.
