Not sure why Moraes is the Tap underdog. DJ has always had trouble with these larger guys (Cejudo and Cruz for example) and he's on the wrong side of 35. Father Time is undefeated. No hate, just thinking out loud. DJ is the Flyweight GOAT so I wouldn't count him out. But I could easily see history repeating itself.

I personnly think it’s disrespectful to the greatness of Mighty Mouse to say he’s still the same guy as 2012-18, 12 title wins in a row Johnson, it’s kinda saying you think Moreas could of beat him in his prime, which he wouldn’t, DJ in his prime is something special

Him getting old is fine, literally every single fighter are not themselves after 10 years since the beginning of being one of the greatest in the sport, it just what happens, that why I pick Moreas the first time

Also think tons of people are heart picking Johnson

Yeah it’s basically the same situation as last week where everyone was picking Aldo with their hearts not really looking into the matchup and giving Merab his dues. Aldo had a horrible weight cut and it showed in the fight with his somewhat sluggish striking and slow reactions in rounds 2 and 3. Plus add in that Merab is known for relentless pressure when he starts hunting for TD’s, and also the fact that they were fighting in high altitude made it a death sentence for Aldo.

Final picks. In addition to DJ being past his prime, Adriano is coming into his. He'll have a significant size advantage and he'll be much show better timing on the attack. I don't see DJ getting knocked out again, and this fight will be longer, but Moraes is a monster and he'll find that neck eventually.

5 fighters have missed hydration tests, methinks ONE’s new drug testing partner is giving the fighters quite a hard time getting their weights down

Oh and two weight misses. Also kadestam just failed hydration as well so that’s 6 total fighters now and 8 in all who have had weight and hydration problems

Moraes vs. Johnson II
Adriano Moraes, DEC
Always been a fan of mighty mouse and respect his accomplishments. There was a time where he was the most dominant P4P fighters in the world. Regression is a natural part of the game. I don't think its much regression from Johnson or more so that the level of competition is beginning to catch up to him. I like Moraes in this fight. He'll be the bigger of the two. He can use some heavy top control if he can get this fight to the mat. My heart wants mighty mouse to win. But the brain is telling me that Moraes gets it done again.

It's fair to point out DJ's 35 but Moraes isn't that far off at 33.

Yeah not much an age gap here. I feel like the size difference will matter especially in the grappling.

not sure how someone can fail a hydration test and remain champ, pretty sure that means you're too big for your weight class. oh well, hope DJ took a fresh batch of PED's and puts him to sleep.

@Crimson

If a fighter fails the hydration test, he or she isn't allowed to weigh in.  If a fighter weighs in the limit for a weight class, he or she has to pass the hydration test again and weigh in again.

I’m gonna sound like a mma simpleton but yes I did know that. I’m not sure why I thought Adriano Moraes was a 125er in that moment. I get confused with how ONE does their weight classes
