FIGHT PREDICTIONS
Predictions: 4 of 5 Winners, 1 Perfect, 280 Points | Tied for 229th
Campbell vs. Duncan
Chris Duncan, TKO, R2
I think Duncan's first appearance on DWCS didn't go his way because of a lot of external factors. His first bout go cancelled and was supposed to be remade a few weeks later with the same guy, and than he got a short notice Slava Claus who we now know is no easy fight. I think he's gonna do a repeat of Joe Pyfer and shine on his second chance. He has fought good competition and has already fought in big promotions like Bellator. I liked certain aspects of his game against Slava and I think the absence of nervous jitters of already being on DWCS is gonna help his mental.
Ross vs. Salvador
Shannon Ross, DEC
Turkish Delight has lots of high level experience coming into this one and the same cannot be said about Salvador. He's a bit of a can crusher and seems to get finished rather easily for a 125er. I think the experience for Ross will show here and I think he gets it done 30-27
Marshall vs. Matthews
Francis Marshall, SUB, R2
The level of competition fought for both of these guys is low, but Marshall's is slightly better. Marshall has never lost a fight professional or as an amateur while Matthews was KOed twice as an amateur. They both have awesome submissions games but Matthews seems to be first round or bust. Marshall has the ability to finish late and win by decision so he has more outlets to win this fight. I think the first round has a crazy pace and then Matthews is gassed by the start of the second. Marshall will pick Matthews apart at the beginning of the second, force a bad shot and then lock up a choke.
Cortes-Acosta vs. Suzart
Waldo Cortes-Acosta, KO, R2
Waldo has proven to me that he is better than I thought as I am currently 1-2 in his fight predictions. He's fought in good promotions since his pro career started and has hands of steel. I do like his cardio a lot and it is a good sign that he can beat high level guys by decision. There's not really a lot to say about Suzart. His last win was against a semi-decent guy but everything else screams can-crusher. This seems like a set up fight for Waldo but it's heavyweight so you never know.
Goff vs. Smotritsky
Billy Goff, KO, R2
This is going to be a fun one to watch. Goff fights really high-paced and has lots of wins against really good opponents. Smotritsky is so young and raw but has a good well-rounded game, I just think Goff is going to be too much for Smotritsky in his return. I feel kind of bad because Smotritsky is probably almost UFC level but they keep giving him absolute studs on DWCS.

Just watched his last 2 fights, he’s got cleaner striking than Duncan for sure. Duncan has the slight wrestling advantage. I’m definitely going Cambpell now that I’ve watched them both fight

Charlie Campbell, TKO, R2
Should be a competitive fight. Both fighters should have their moments. I look for Campbell to get the fight to the mat and be able to utilize some good ground and pound to get Duncan out of there.
Ross vs. Salvador
Shannon Ross, DEC
This was a hard fight to read. Shannon ross coming off a year and a half layoff to fight a younger Salvador with a 100% career finish rate. On the feet, Salvador has power but throws a lot of lunging and looping strikes. Not very high volume. Always looking for the knockout. I can see Ross being able to evade Salvador's wild pressure and land the cleaner more technical strikes.
Marshall vs. Matthews
Francis Marshall, SUB, R1
Should be a close fight unless with the grappling. I give Marshall the edge in the striking. I think he finds his way to the back of Matthews and sinks in a choke.
Cortes-Acosta vs. Suzart
Waldo Cortes-Acosta, TKO, R1
I hope Acosta can stop him quick. I'm not sure if I want to see this fight go into the later rounds. This could be a stinker if that's the case. Acosta has good short elbows in the clinch. He also has a professional boxing background so I trust his cardio better than Suzart's. Suzart seems to have one solid overhand and will repeat that over and over. Not much I've seen from him I'm impressed with. Pretty low volume heavyweight fight. Hope it ends early.
Goff vs. Smotritsky
Billy Goff, TKO, R2
Both should be able to land strikes on each other. Goff will have a wrestling advantage. look for Goff to secure his takedowns and pressure Shimon with his top game and land some good ground and pound to get Smotritsky out of there.

Shannon Ross, DEC
Going with the Aussie to outstrike and out wrestle Salvador. I do not like his hands down style.
Marshall vs. Matthews
Francis Marshall, DEC
2 good grapplers but Marshall has fought the much better competition. Expecting a close win
Cortes-Acosta vs. Suzart
Waldo Cortes-Acosta, TKO, R2
At range Waldo should be able to get a finish
Goff vs. Smotritsky
Billy Goff, TKO, R1
Fade the Israeli. He is too young and too green

Charlie Campbell, TKO, R2
Duncan has not adressed his problems that he had in the slava claus fight he is still very susceptible to the left hook and from what i have seen you could throw campbell in the ufc right now not saying he would do great but i feel like he would win some and he would lose some but if you put duncan in the ufc he will get cut with in 2 or 3 fights. campbell should tko him in the 2nd.
Ross vs. Salvador
Vinicius Salvador, TKO, R1
MARK MY WORDS someone will get a contract in this fight 100 percent. Salvador has a 100 percent finish rate but his oponents were not the best fighters in the world and the guys he has lost to were/are pretty good. he is very much a gatekeeper for bigger and better things but heres the thing I dont think Ross is up to par at all hes very much a average fighter hes been around alot since 2011 and was pretty good at beating dudes back then but now i dont think hes that guy anymore. I think Salvador will get a contract only to lose in the ufc
Marshall vs. Matthews
Francis Marshall, SUB, R3
Matthews started his amature career in 2011 and then took a long break then came back only to fight guys with negative records, he has fought nobody no one at all of note every single person he has beat has a negative record and to be fair most of marshalls wins were over guys with negative records as well but hes young and has much more of a upside than Matthews
Cortes-Acosta vs. Suzart
Waldo Cortes-Acosta, TKO, R2
Suzart has had a padded record barely fought anyone with a positive record. Waldo just ko'ed thomas who i thought was really good so he gets the job done but takes his time and ko's him late in the 2nd or early 3rd
Goff vs. Smotritsky
Billy Goff, TKO, R3
Goff puts on pressure and Shimon being young cracks under the pressure and then gets tko'd

If you have to fight Rob Fuller, Jay Ellis and Stacey Anderson in order to build confidence and a winning record, you're in the wrong sport. This isn't boxing.
